I remember going 18-0 in the regular season once with the 49ers. How did I go 18-0 in a 16-game season you ask? I made use of a little known glitch. When you win the division and the "division champion" screen appears, hit the reset button. Your previous game will still count, but you'll get to play that same game a 2nd time. I did this when I clinched my division, then again after beating the Chiefs in week 16 which clinched the division title for the Raiders. With those two extra regular season games, I was able to compile an 18-0 record.

top 5 dark horse players on this game in random order: 1. Wayne Haddix (my pick for best corner on this game. I’d say he’s the second best secondary player only behind David Fulcher of the Bengals. I don’t have Fulcher on this list since he was fairly well known in the 1980s for being a good safety. 2. Jim Jenson. Backup TE fir Dolphins…his 69 catch ability (avg. condition) was comparable to pro bowl TEs and receivers on this game. 3. Dave Waymer. The best safety on the 49ers. Lott was faster and hit harder, but Waymer had 10 ints in 1990 (the year this game is based). RIP as of 1993. 4. Gary Anderson, RB for Tampa Bay. Probably the best all purpose back on the game. As fast as the pro bowl rbs on the game (except of course for Barry and Bo), and has catch ability higher than most rbs (50 or 56) 5. Mark Jackson, WR for Denver. Catch ability of 75. There’s other players like Keith Millard, Joey Browner, Al Toon, Henry Ellard, etc. but I didn’t count them since most people who followed football at that time those players went to multiple pro bowls (Millard was once DP of the Year)

You can score more points than this. You have to run straight up or down when receiving kickoffs and get out of bounds as quickly as possible and every kickoff you do has to be an onside kick. The kickoffs take off way too much time. 147-0 I believe was my record score in 11th grade (1995)
