The Lions helped themselves to a big lead early on, but the Oilers just won't quit. They trail by 8 but are threatening to score as the 4th Quarter opens. This one very well could come down to which team has possession last.

The Oilers overcome a 14-point deficit to beat the Lions to kickoff Week 13. Warren Moon completed 76% of his passes for 216 yards and 3 TDs. Moon also had 88 yards rushing. Lorenzo White had 110 all-purpose yards (54 rushing, 56 receiving) and 2 TDs. Webster Slaughter caught 3 passes for 113 yards and 2 TDs. Slaughter caught the game-winning TD with no time left. Haywood Jeffires caught 3 passes for 41 yards. Curtis Duncan had 1 catch for 6 yards and a TD. Houston's defense had 1 sack, a fumble recovery, a blocked extra-point attempt, and 2 blocked punts. Rodney Peete completed 61% of his passes for 189 yards and 3 total TDs (2 passing, 1 rushing). Peete also had 46 yards rushing. Barry Sanders had 173 all-purpose yards (135 rushing, 38 receiving) and 2 TDs. Herman Moore caught 3 passes for 82 yards and a TD. Brett Perriman caught 3 passes for 41 yards. Thomas McLemore caught 3 passes for 28 yards and a TD. Detroit's defense had 5 sacks, a fumble recovery, a blocked FG, and a blocked extra-point attempt. The Oilers were able to come out on top on the road to stay in the wild card race in the competitive AFC. The Lions' season is really falling apart. This is their 5th straight loss.
