When you were biasing it for tape, turning bias pots clockwise was there a drop off after a max point or did you just dial it back counter clockwise to the desired dB reduction ?

the mkiii hasn't sync playback,and mic inputs(it was designed to work with a mixer) on the front.It was made for radio stations use...the front panel also is black.
