Your podcasts helped me through a bad time when I discovered you in 2021, also during my chemotherapy and hospital stays in 2022 I would listen to you as it was comforting. Your humour really does help to lighten the mood of such horrible subjects, but you're always respectful.

Welcome back! To answer the question about Bundy's looks, I personally don't see it, maybe back then he'd be considered good looking. For me he just looks like the average guy, and I think that's often what throws people off. "oh he can't be capable of that, he's too normal looking, he's too charming" etc etc. For some reason people even now are still under the impression that serial killers are scary, easy to spot, weird looking, creepy and so on. But they're not, we learn this time and time again. They're often just the regular people we see in the street, someone we sat next to on the train, a charming co worker maybe? This is how they're so good (in the worst way possible) at what they do. And I think back when these crimes were happening people were even more reluctant to believe a young, seemingly successful and charming man could ever be capable of such brutal acts. I like to think people are more aware these days but honestly not everyone is. Thanks to this guy I will never help a lone stranger with a broken limb!

I think Ben is right about Bundy's use of the arm in the sling being scary. It means that it becomes dangerous to help others, because you simply don't know if they are actually injured or just faking it to hurt you.
