@@mclarensaleenf7 I was commenting on the perks of an Ivy League school not the students. I can't speak to law schools in particular, but I can say that the well recognized actuary program that I'm in right now teaches the same math as any other school. So the benefit I get from going to this school isn't a better education, it's better connections and increased recognition. I got a feeling that it's about the same at Ivy League Law Schools. The same material but you get better recognition and better connections.

@@alejandrotellez2962 We should stay away from the "both sides" argument but it should not be forgotten that the GOP broke so many precedents and rules that the reason to not go "both sides" is less to do with how uncivil it is. It's the fact that it's a moot point. The GOP broke any good faith in any agreement or public setting where they literally are so black marked that millions left the party, their base are packed with white supremacists, and I don't know anyone from my generation that is willing to give a good faith credit to any republican that still refuses to call Jan 6th an insurrection or acknowledge Trump as at the very least incompetent, particularly during 2020

As a retired teacher myself, I would be horrified at my ex-students twisting information around like that. Also, I would be terribly upset to have been upbraided by an old professor of mine. Cruz and Hawley are nothing but brazen, opportunistic and power hungry people. What a waste of an expensive education they are.

As a current professor, I have a hard time imagining a scenario in which I'd think it appropriate to publicly upbraid former students like this. I'm not saying he shouldn't have released this, just saying it's not a choice I would make.

The week Hawley was fist-pumping, I was getting zero help from his office regarding my disability issue. Zip. Nothing. While he was prancing around for the cameras, he was neglecting a needy Missourian who was told to seek his help. That help never came, at least not from him or his staff. I dislike Hawley intensely.

What's Q's predictions? I don't believe I've ever heard trump say he would walk with traitors. In FACT as a matter of FACT the FACT is that my opinion is FACT and I know that because the liberal media portays opinion as FACT every day. But the FACT is that we don't need to understand the FACT's because facebook and youtube's unverified independent FACT checkers will do my thinking for me. I'm thoroughly disgusted with these guys too. And anyone who has any access to intuition and logic and a modicum of ideas about ethics would be able to see through these guys too. It's not only shameful, it's embarrassing to know that other countries are watching this. And I agree ... not only don't supporters know what this legal smoke screen is all about, but they don't have the curiosity to look up what Cruz and Hawley are even referring to. It's all smoke and mirrors and the blind trust that their followers show them is what politicians like these two are counting on.

Excellent and well said! Thank you for speaking out! However the last line is not enough: an apology is not enough. Both of these men are guilty of being conspirators and instigating the insurrection in the many months leading up to the insurrection. They fully knew that they were lying to and riling up the crowd who defiled our sacred capital and whose actions are a direct affront To our constitutional government and rule of law. They need to be indicted and held accountable. Lives were lost and the People’s building, Our nations capital, is now a heavily guarded fortress where our Congress people do not feel safe to work. It is an utter disgrace and deeply sad. These two Thugs, Recipients of the highest level of education and white privilege need to be held accountable for their reckless and distractive behavior.

I don't put a lot of weight in academia anymore their brainwashing our kids I could see it each time I put a child through college they're there to teach my children not brainwash them. politics should stay out of the classroom my daughter's a senior college and she's afraid to go against the Democrats and she's a libertarian she's fearful. for her grades and retaliation at her University that is sad in this country that our political views threaten her safety. Just frightens me all the rights that people are willing to give up.

There are all kinds of conservative groups on college campuses, Young Republicans, etc., etc., and professors of varying political stripes. Not all universities are "hotbeds of radicalism." In the schools I attended I had more professors who were conservative than liberal, and none of them were overtly political, except for one philosophy professor who here and there would rail against Ted Kennedy. But there was never anything I would call "brainwashing." Your daughter should take pains to be less timid; she should learn to stand her ground.
