At 6:01, that voicing of an E/9 can be heard on Allan Holdsworth’s song “White Line.” He does a weird thing where he shifts through the harmony during the solo section. I can't remember off the top of my head. I find it pretty neat that a legend like Allan Holdsworth has also spent time with this book. There's an interview out there where he talks about Ted Greene and I want to say Ted has also talked about Allan.

@Phrygian12 Wow, what a fantastic observation-thank you for sharing that! The E/9 voicing at 6:01 is such a gem, and it’s incredible to know it can be tied to Allan Holdsworth’s White Line. His harmonic shifts are mind-blowing, and it’s no surprise he explored similar concepts to those in Chord Chemistry. I love hearing about these connections between Ted Greene and Allan. If you come across that interview, I’d love to check it out-what an inspiring meeting of musical minds. Thanks again for bringing this up and for your support of the series. Happy Picking!

@ No problem! I love this video series you've been doing! If I can find the interview, I’ll share it. Allan Holdsworth had his own system, but I think the interviewer had asked him if he’s heard of Ted Greene. Which brought up the book. Keep up the amazing work with this video series!

Jason you are awesome, thank you so much for this brotha! Also is that pick guard made of leather? It looks beautiful on that Tele!

Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏 I'm so glad you're enjoying the series-it’s been amazing to share this journey with everyone. 🎸 And great eye! The pickguard is indeed leather, and it’s extra special because I hand-cut and tooled it myself, tracing it from an original Tele black guard. It not only looks unique but feels incredible when playing-adds such a personal vibe to the guitar. 🎶 How’s your exploration of Ted Greene’s material going? Any favorite chords you’ve discovered so far?
