One of my fave episodes. Jamie’s vulnerability and Roy’s support. Ted finally opening up and Dr Sharon sharing with Ted. And the payoff of Rebecca and Sam. So much open, direct communication

The BEST episode of Ted Lasso! My fave scene is Roy hugging Jamie. Gets me every time!

Christo Fernandez (Dani) made it to a professional youth team in Guadalajara. He got hurt. Then he went to University for theatre. Phil Dunster (Jamie,) wanted to be a rugby player, but he was too small and also stopped as a teenager. Apparently Kola Bokini (Isaac,) is a very strong soccer player too according to the cast. The ref is well known and beloved. Pep is an incredibly famous real coach, but I didn’t know him either since I’m not a soccer fan. Also the broadcasters/pundits are also cameos. I lost my Dad at 13. I find a similar phenomenon. It’s weird. This episode is one of the really iconic ones, especially for the Roy/Jamie hug -> Ted’s reveal what really happened to him at 16.

So understanding in characters doesn’t mean we have to justify them, so Nate still has a lot to account for, no matter what. Yep, Nate’s DESPERATE for approval. Attention. Especially from his Dad. Nate never got it from anyone until Ted. And now that Ted’s not quite himself, he’s not giving it like he normally would. But that’s not Ted’s fault of course. Nate can’t see it. There’s sooo many characters struggling with issues with their Dad in this show. Good and poor Dads too.

I did the math once, for sure ted is about 46 in this season and rebecca is very close to the same age

One of the most emotionally draining episodes. Brilliant though! As to Nate, he emotionally immature. His mother is overbearing, his father is incapable of showing love and care. Like Ted his father knows Nate is very smart.
