I’ve been waiting anxiously for these for some time. I’m predominantly an Empire player but I’ve been pumping up my Rebels just so I can play these little furry teddy bears. Reenacting the Battle of Endor will be magnificent.

The models don't look bad. I do like the ability to kill an upgrade of your choice on an enemy unit. I'm just still not sure if I want to buy them.... Perhaps someday.

For the ewok, the most likely proxy is to save money but also to make it look better on the table (especially when there are more of the same model in the unit 😟)

Kinda disappointed on the amount of empty space on the sprues, there us often a lot, but if they could easily include more options for the same price if they optomized the sprues some

Yea they haven’t mastered spin moulding plastic sprues like GW.

@star_wars_miniatures I'm not the biggest fan of GW, but at the very least there sprues are pretty packed even if they do use a lot of those extra peices just to add unwanted detail

Since you can model the leader with an axe or sling, I plan on mixing and matching weapons in the unit and using only the unit leader to signify if it is special forces or corps. I’m disappointed in the lack of ready to go pose options in the box. It’s a high price for a unit you need to buy in multiples to run the battle force. I’ve heard before (for MCP) that high price for small sprue count is b/c of development for a unit people will only buy 1 of. Well this is a small sprue and you are going to buy multiple boxes. A definite cash grab. True confessions, I pre-ordered 2 and have already bought a 3rd box 😂

I have not yet looked at the last rule changes for Legion so I don’t know and also I’ve only been to one tournament and back then Legion did not have this rule. But are you saying that now depending on how you build a model that will determine what you can and can’t use in a game?!? So if I didn’t build Iden with the rifle I can’t use it in this setting? Or same thing with Sabine and her shield? And so on!?! I know WH does that but I was hoping SWL wouldn’t go down that road!

I’m quite disappointed that there are duplicate sculpts in the box, especially considering that people who want to build a battle force with them will need to buy several packs. It’s definitely a step down from the Wookiee box with all their variety.

⭐ Thanks for the review…they’re good but the repeat sculpts seems more than a bit lazy on the part of the manufacturer…and don’t even get me started on the price they’re asking for the two command figures ! ⭐

I actually think the command box is good value. 4 unit cards (most players already have 3p0 and possibly an ATST). That’s a lot of product development in one box. The warriors price is atrocious, though, for repeat models and only being able to field one unit/box unlike other corps/special forces releases.

I'm not really a competitive player but what's so bad about force choke now? I do remember that before you could pick the model to die but there's nothing wrong with being able to chuck a free wound on a unit as a free action, is there?

The both raised the cost, and removed the ability to choose the model. Now it's just "The UNIT gets a wound" - and that sorta defeats the purpose of a card that was designed to remove a heavy.

I absolutely HATE the switch to plastic and sprues by AMG, in fact it's pretty much killed my interest in more Legion purchases. The resin minis were so much easier and simpler to put together; the current ones have so many tiny pieces (even multiple pieces for a single head) that it's prone to making an irrecoverable mess.

The trooper minis have gotten a little simpler since the initial switch. Pykes were simple and look awesome. Ewoks were simple but look terribly lackluster compares to all the other AMG releases. Not sure what’s going on there. It’s like they just used the old FFG resin models and moved them around to fit a sprue.
