Love both of them. Good Lord, Teddy's voice is like low rolling thunder, and then Stephanie is like the lightning sparking. And the sax comes in.

I remember working at the Disco Spanky’s Saloon in San Diego in the early 80’s the DJ king Hollywood would spin this record before closing, this was good for a meaningful slow dance to set off the early morning. RIP Teddy

As a college student at UPenn in the late 70s, I helped pay tuition working in the dining hall. A woman I worked with every day grew up in same church as Teddy. I quickly learned for every woman working there Teddy was the biggest heartthrob ever. I familiarized myself with his work; solo and Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and at least some of the catalogue of Gamble and Huff. It rounded my musical palate from the Steely Dan, Genesis, etc. i was digging more deeply into with my peers. And The Who, Stones, Led and Motown from my younger years. To me this is epitome of classic R&B and I love it. Playing ball I had the fortunate pleasure of stopping by a large family reunion picnic in Fairmount Park invited by a teammate. My plan was to meet his parents grab some food and leave. They introduced me to so many people and Teddy and R&B was playing out of car speakers. I must have mentioned my love of Soul Train so they insisted I stay until they did the ST line dance. Seniors, kids, women, men, and self-conscious me all boogied our best. It was a total blast!

Hello La & Che, I thought I'd suggest another song by an artist that I believe you've reacted to once before and seemed to enjoy his work. So, if interested, give this one a listen. "Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Mary Jane's Last Dance (Official Music Video)" (by the channel: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) --This song "Mary Jane's Last Dance" was written by Tom Petty, and he was recording this song, while also working on his "Wildflowers" album. The song was produced by Rick Rubin, Mike Campbell and Petty. The song was first released as part of their "Greatest Hits Album" released in 1993 and rose to No.#14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. And I thought I'd suggest another female artist to give a listen, if interested. "Sarah McLachlan - I Will Remember You" (by the channel: The Official Sarah McLachlan) --This song was written by Sarah McLachlan, Seamus Egan and Dave Merenda. The song first appeared on the soundtrack for the movie "The Brothers McMullen" in 1995 and was released the same year, when it peaked at No.#65 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No.#10 in Canada. Sarah McLachlan is a Canadian singer/songwriter. She emerged as one of Canada's leading recording artists and a major force in the North American Music industry. As of 2015 she has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Her genres consist of pop, rock and adult contemporary. Have a great day, fellas, and thanks for sharing.

Right on bros! Love your guys channel.. I really enjoyed the way you guys dig Abbey Road and McCartneys bass playing! The Beatles are better musicians than people give them credit for! Also, what can I say about Teddy P??? This man made women's panties disintegrate!!! What a voice! How Harold Melvin had the nerve to list his name as the headline?? Teddy P. was the blue notes, the red notes and all the right notes!! It's tough to say whose the best but it's Teddy P, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, oh and of course Barry White!! I think that's my top 6! There's so many more cause smokey Robinson and Luther Vandross just popped into my head!! I really hope you do alot more of Teddy !! He's the man! Also can't wait to see your next Beatles and Led Zep reactions!!please do the live BBC recordings, how the west was won... also Beatles Magical Mystery Tour( lots of orchestral arrangements!horns, piccolo trumpets, violins, cello, etc. You guys being legitimate music men who admire producers, sound engineers and studio mastery , it gives you all that!!! The white album is bare bones, total opposite of Sgt Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour heavy production!

@@324cmac cmacm. Gotta love wicked Wilson Pickett! I love the arrangement on his Hey Jude cover.. Muscle Shoals studio musicians and Duane Allman cut that cover song perfectly... The hammond organ, accompanying horns and Duanes guitar playing is what puts it right back on the record charts #1 in 1968.. This is after it spent 11 weeks at #1 with the Beatles performing it.. Followed soon after with Wilson Pickett,Duane Allmans and Muscle Shoals studio arrangement!

@@edwardcapobianco2975 I liked Duane Allman too. He did that great song with another of my favorites, Boz Scaggs...Loan Me a Dime. But I never liked the song, Hey Jude. It's boring to me and they went too far with the repetition. Just my personal opinion.

@@324cmac it does have a long fade out. Was designed as a sing along. Mcartneys Scottish relatives used to have sing alongs during holidays at pauls fathers house when he was a kid. His dad was a musician and that's why Paul is so influenced by big band and "granny" music as John Lennon once said. When I'm 64, Honey Pie, You're Mother Should Know, Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey, Mull of Kintyre etc. I like all of these songs and loan me a dime is fantastic. Have you ever heard Duane playing dobro on I walk on gilded splinters??? It's beyond good! Check it out if you've never heard it!!!
