Almost NO PRODUCER/singer has produced as many hits for others as well as himself than Babyface. I repeat NOBODY. Babyface won, and simply he could've come much harder. Babyface was trying to match sounds against Teddy to be nice; but there was a level Babyface went with writing for BoyzIIMen, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, El Debarge, Stevie Wonder, After 7, and more that Babyface didn't even truly enter. Smokey Robinson is probably the closest to Babyface that we know of as a legit singer and excellent song writer/producer for others

I'd say probably about 75 songs Prince wrote for others. It doesn't count if someone else just sings his song that he first sung. BAbyface wrote about 200 songs for other people and had more top 10 songs for other artists than Prince did for others. There's practically nobody on Prince's level as a single instrumentalist, musician, songwriter, singer, entertainer, producer, and dancer all together as one. Prince is King of that lane BUT Babyface has his own lane when it comes to the number of various artists he wrote for as well as being a singer himself. Smokey Robinson is close to Babyface. I'm well aware of everyone Prince wrote for & the songs WB gave away that Prince didn't want taken, but Babyface practically wrote more for other artists than himself.

Ok with Google search he wrote for: Michael Bolton, Tevin Campbell, Beyonce, Arianna Grande, K-Ci and JoJo, Destiny's Child, Justin Bieber, Fantasia, The Whispers, Sheena Easton, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Usher, Ralph Tresvant, Sisqo, Tyrese Prince wrote some great hits for others, too many for me to name right now (Chaka Khan, The Time, Vanity 6, No Doubt,) but 90% of Prince's career was focused on Prince. Babyface's impact on writing songs for others surpasses or is equal to the great songs he did for himself 50/50.

Babyface by a landslide. He didn’t need a hype man, samples, or a phone. Babyface is raw talent. I thought he was playing the recording and didn’t even realize he was singing and playing live until I returned to my IPad after stepping away. Charlamagne was clearly biased, Teddy kept referring to CTG during the battle. Teddy can blame Charlemagne. (Why not?). I Hated “Jam” everyone I know hated that song, it was pushed on people because of the movie. We tolerated Jam because of the video and our two favorite Michaels back then. I was done with Teddy early, I never realized he probably really is ADHD. He could barely get through Babyface’s stories. I thought he was just being rude at first, then I realized he really cannot help himself, just a mess.

But Babyface * IS * a genius. His musical abilities are to comparable to only the likes of Prince, Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson. The man is beyond phenomenal! He owes so much gratitude to God for the extent and longevity of his genius production skills. His music is of such exceptional quality. You can feel the music.
