@@tdickensheets wow! That makes me sad. I feel like I have heard his voice somewhere else. Do you know if he were in any other roles besides playing Grubby? He also sounds a little like worlds of wonder goofy. I don’t know if that’s true or not though.

@@illiopoctopede6664 thanks! I may get this one along with “quiet please“. I’m not much for these song books with no story behind them, but they are growing on me.

I saw the documentary of Ken Frosse. Or as I call him Teddy Ruxpin’s father. I found out that he didn’t like Barney the Dinosaur mostly because the songs they sing lack originality. I wonder what else he didn’t like about him?

Well, even I'd choose Teddy Ruxpin over Barney any day!

Maybe because Barney was all sunshine and rainbows or maybe most of the songs were mostly nursery rhymes and folk songs that already existed, such as Polly Wolly Doodle, Alouette, She’ll be Coming Round the Mountain and my personal fave, On Top of Spaghetti. 🤷♀️

@@alexisclinton717 well, yes it does emphasise on certain topics of friendship, imagination, self-esteem, being happy with the way you are, never giving up, making new friends and so on, but there were some times when the creators weren’t afraid to tackle a few tough subjects. I actually found out that the story “The Missing Princess” is clearly an allegory for stranger danger and quite reminiscent of a time back in the early to mid 1980s when so many youngsters were getting kidnapped, abducted, heck even killed, or simply never found. And I also remember that there was once a character who was actually deaf.
