I found this song as I watched my 6 week old baby boy sleeping peacefully after a week of battling illnesses in 3 different hospitals. Sleepless nights, countless nurses and doctors, needles, swabs, pokes, punctures, breathing machines. I’ve watched my little dude be tortured, but thankfully healed. Well , healing now. This song hit all my feelings in just wanting to hold my baby without monitors and IVs and tubes tied to him. I wanted him to be home, with his brother and sister, mommy and me. All the other things in the world fade away and don’t matter. Shouldn’t take these moments to just enjoy and appreciate the simple things, but this sure has shifted my focus. Thanks Teddy, I needed this one today, and always.

Teddy I started listening to your covers a long while ago. Your vocals get enough well-deserved attention lol, always loved how tight your band was and the exquisite production and how the arrangements always respected the original while making it your own. When you started doing original tunes I have to admit I got a little scared, because there are so many folks that crush it when they are in the comfortable confines of proven songs but fall apart when they try to bring it themselves. But since then all of that fear has subsided, these originals are sooo damn good buddy, I love everything you and the band are doing and just hope you all are able to stay in the saddle on this rocket (and, of course, still get time to enjoy the simple things).
