I like this version more than the Stapleton one. Even though Chris has the more powerful voice. This tempo and bluesy feel is a bit more fitting for the tone of the song. For my ears at least.

He is amazing...the band are childhood friends of his . This is so cool. The guitarist "Addy" is his best friend. There is a utube channel called your music.They dropped about 20 something of Teddy's songs for everyone to listen. Swims does a lot of good covers but this isn't one of them. He couldn't get the runs right and it was too slow in my opinion. Try some Ryan UpChurch or Adam Calhoun. UpChurch can do just about anything. He raps he sings country he sings some rock. He's amazing. Adam can rap too. They have calabed together on several songs

well, to be fair...george jones, who originally sang it, had zero runs. chris stapleton killed it with his rendition. a bluesey country ballad. Teddy swims is a slower and bluesier version. they both work for different folks. Also....country rap is pure garbage.

love Teddy, but he ruined this song. Pauses, for the most part, add feeling to a song, but to many and it destroys the flow of the message. This version is painful to listen too.
