Billie Holiday said Teddy Wilson and the other giants of 1930s jazz were all unselfish when accompanying her. Wilson's solos are always elegant and superb as are his accompaniments. I also rate Oscar Peterson and Sir Charles Thompson in these categories..Greetings from Sydney, Australia

Had the pleasure of seeing him in Dublin Ireland in early 80s when his trio toured with Buddy Rich(who lauded his contribution to Jazz)and he was superb....x

on Sunday Afternoons My Father used to hitch hike back into Inner city Los Angeles from Santa Monica where they would Body Surf... They would drop into the "Chatter Box" on Pico and get in on the Jam Sessions and The Happy Hour Cocktail Hour... They got to get "druck" and listen to Teddy and Lady Day (live) , Holy Shit Billy Holiday and Teddy Wilson FER SHER , no shit

I think indeed he had a problem with his finger, obviously he didn't play like the way he used to do, with arpeggios and scales, and I think I know why cause being a pianist myself, I have the same problem with the same finger, it is very painful
