He's singing about our king Tewdros in the 18th century right after we won the war with fascist Italians, GB tried to invade our country. Our soldiers tired and frustrated from ruthless attackers of Italians invaders, they weren't to keen to continue fighting but our king still leads them to the beater end, he managed to take out quite a lot of the invaders in end as they approach he decided to shoot himself rather than die in the hands of the enemy or lose more innocent ppl. That's when the brits looted his palaces taken his young son Alex with them as they flee back to England. Us Ethiopians are most proud of our ancestors as they gurd and kept us free and never been invaded.

The song is about the time when he committed suicide at the Battle of Magdala instead of becoming a prisoner of foreign invaders, soldiers from Great Britain and its colonies, in order to protect the dignity of Ethiopia. He is an African Hero, one of the ruler who paved the road to make sure Ethiopians have never been colonized by Anyone.
