Teddy, love your channel and your knowledge on all things time pieces. With that, I have a question for you. Why is it that the SeaQ Panorama has Glashutte i/SA inscribed on the dial and the SeaQ Chronograph does not? To my knowledge, it takes certain certifications in order to have Glashutte i/SA inscribed on the dial. Does this mean that the SeaQ Chronograph isn't processed through the same certs. Im aware that the SA is for Saxon. i recently visited Suttgart, and purchased a Wempe iron walker and was giving fascinating history and origin on Glashutte Original.

I really like the size, look, quality and “off the beaten trackness” of the seaq. The panorama is too big. I might, might even consider dropping 8k on one. But the absence of a window on the back is a deal killer. Can’t understand why they did that only on the panorama.

Its 2023, no one dives with dive watches, it has been 'dive computers' for a couple decades now. Sure, I wore mine on a dive but on the opposite wrist to the dive computer and it was entirely for chuckles as I relied on the dive computer for all the stops/timings.

I tried the Glashutte SeaQ on today in Dubai and was super excited...seriously disappointed! The bracelet is awful - no taper, way too thick and felt cheap. The watch itself is way too big and thick. The bezel action as well is one of the worst I've ever felt on ANY dive watch. Worse than a seiko or Omega and nowhere near as nice as a Rolex or Tudor bezel. Really don't get the fuss and there is NO WAY I'd pick this over a Sub.

It's a nice watch, but honestly just too expensive and unremarkable in the very crowded dive watch segment. It's hard to make the case for this over the Omega Seamaster at half the price, for anyone who isn't a hardcore movement enthusiast and contrarian.

Hmm better movement, better date, no fugly HE valve, better bracelet, better bezel. It costs more because it's better in pretty much everyway. Also unlike Rolex your can get discount from new. And even more discount second hand. The SMP stopped being good value about 2 years ago.
