DC resident and have seen squirrels, oppossums, beaver, and skunks, but never a porcupine! Wasn't aware they could grow so large. Plz tell Ted he has stolen a new heart with his happy squeaks!

I grew up fishing and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. We always watched out for porcupines. We would jeep in the most remote areas, but we always gave the right of way to porcupines. My dad loves how the nest in the high pine trees.

My son used to do the same thing. He is 34 , 6"5" and 320 lbs. and was in the NFL for 6 years defensive lineman. When he was born he weighed 10 lbs. and was 23 inches long. He loved his food as well. My mother called it "singing to his food".

Now that our precious teddy is retired, I'd love to know how he spends his days. Does he have friends or mates? Has he been put out to stud? The world could could use more porcupines like him. And BTW, how come he isn't allowed in h house? No judgement. My husband I have vastly different ideas about animals in the house. I just love him so much!!💖💖
