I love this mv, the song is not only extraordinarily good, it's also full of meaning. If you don't look that much into it, it can pass up as a love song, but they're actually singing about their dreams/aspirations in life. The individual scenes, when the members are alone, represents their fears/the obstacles they have to achieve their dreams. So in the lyrics they're basically saying that they're obsessed with reaching what they dream for, but doesn't matter how much they try/search, it never comes true and it's still just a dream, but they're not gonna stop going after it. It also adds a lot to their lore and tells the story of their characters inside the lore, if you watch "fever diary film" you're gonna be able to understand the mv bc the mv and the song are basically a preview to this short movie.

It's fair to say, hate them or love them ATEEZ has become one of the top tier act in kpop. Don't what it is about them but they just have that extra 'something' that makes them incredible, you just can't look away from.

I still remember when they were fairly new and I heard 'Say My Name' and 'Hala Hala'. I was at a friend's house and we had a few K-poppers among us- the rest of us pretty fine with K-pop but not really stanning it as a whole. So they said 'hey there are these guys that are really cool' and I still remember my first impression. I was taken aback by the fierceness, but in a really good way. Not really Atiny, but after falling apart from those friends and honestly most of K-pop as a whole, Ateez in among the few I consistently keep listening to, along with Stray Kids. Really great artists.

I think you’ll enjoy THANXX. It was the other single from the album Inception was on but completely different vibe. The company does this thing with many Ateez albums where Atiny gets involved in choosing what becomes the lead single for the album. So Inception and THANXX were battling it out. You’ll love the beat of it which changes up so many times. It feels like you’re listening to at least 3 or 4 different songs all in one 😅

Jongho can belt those high notes live too, while dancing just as hard as everyone else in Ateez. I went to their concert not sure if he would be able to sound quite as perfect doing it live (not that I cared about that) especially with the vocal fatigue of just having belted those same notes at another concert two days before. But he was absolutely perfect, not the tiniest bit sharp or flat or shrill at the end of holding the notes out or anything. Mariah Carey could never. The man is a star. Other songs where Jongho hits insane high notes: Black Cat Nero, Cyberpunk (Live performance), New World (live performance or lyric video)

This is my absolute favorite song ever from Ateez!! The styling, concepts, live performances during this era were so so beautifully iconic. They captured the feelings of yearning and passion so well in this song with the lyrics and the melody and even the dancing, it’s all so grand and absolutely dramatic. we got so many amazing and in sync groups but Ateez is the most agressif in a good way we can feel that they put they're guts into they're choreo . and the vocl line of this group is just insane .

damn, what did hongjoong say that made you doubt!?!? man is so incredibly inspiring and hardworking, during kingdom ateez, as well as many of the idols on that program, had very intense schedules, ateez, in particular, had their comeback for Fireworks (im the one) were preparing their jp album (into the a to z) as well as their anime ending for Digimon adventures (dreamers), their immortal songs appearance, as well as yunho, seongwha, san and jongho were promoting their drama (imitation), there were many sleepless nights for them, especially since they were down a member, ateez did incredibly in kingdom and proved they could still make top tier performances while down a member, however, mingi is and always will be an integral member in ateez as part of EDENARY and main dancer line, so I can't help but imagine how he would have torn up the stage so much if he was present on kingdom and ateez were 8. Really happy to see you getting more into and loving ateez reaction was great as always and thanks for doing us favours by rewinding LMAO

it was just a misunderstanding during the translation, he thought a comment HJ made implied that SKZ were not good performers, but what he actually meant was that SKZ wouldnt be a good pick to perform after them because of the similaraties in power/energy

If you watch Diary Film you better understand what’s happening here. This song is really about having dreams and losing dreams. One interesting thing-as the MV progresses their dreams get jumbled up with each other. SAN’s boxes end up around Hongjoong’s bed, Yeosang’s bed ends up in SAN’s dream, etc. my hidden message theory is that they have to be together/support each other if they want to reach their dreams. But I can be wrong. I just think this video has far more hidden below the dancing and cool effects.

Stray kids and ATEEZ are just different. They are on repeat on my playlist all day at work. San and Joongie are my bias but saying that its hard to have a bias in ATEEZ because every time I turn around I'm being wrecked by the other 6. The whole Hyung line is my bias from Stray kids. ATEEZ tho wow I saw them in concert in Nov oml they are so good live, best money I have ever spent on a concert they are so fun and funny. And the way they put every thing in to the song with their facial expressions, dance and their live vocals are no joke. All I know is when they come back I will be going again. Haven't even gotten to the middle but I just HAVE TO RAVE ABOUT SEONGHWA BECAUSE THAT MAN IS IMPRESSIVELY TALENTED: First off, his voice is in this track is absolutely phenomenal. He emotes so, so much with his voice, it's literally making me cry. It's so soft but powerful at the same time, he has the perfect volume during the drops of tone throughout that string of notes in the chorus and exactly the right amount of breath pushed out with the notes to give it that almost whimsical feel. Ever since I witnessed his voice in Inception I have begun to call him the siren of Ateez and I think everyone can understand why. But he also emotes incredibly much in his dancing. He is a very expressive dancer from his head to his toes. But especially his face. Ateez gets praised for being the only group with a demon line (Hongjoong, Seonghwa & San) which basically means that those three put a whole world of energy on the stage as performers but it especially refers to their enormous repertoire of face expressions that they show which tend to get pretty intense and scary. One of their many qualities but Seonghwa is a special breed because whenever he dances, and it literally doesn't matter what song, he always uses his face expressions to express the emotions of the songs and the meaning behind the words and he does it on a world class scale, in my humble opinion. Anyone who doesn't know what I mean- check out Seonghwa's facecams for Inception (and literally every other track that has a choreography). I am utterly fascinated by Seonghwa's dancing in Inception specifically for the reason that his face expressions tell an entire story on their own. You could turn off the volume and hear nothing but still see what the song must be about. It's simply incredible. That man is a walking reincarnation of passion and talent themselves and is a gift to the entertainment industry! I am still mad and will forever be mad that he is still overlooked by so many for being "the pretty one".

Inception is the title track from their album Fever Part 1, which technically is the start of the lore even though the Fever series was dropped after the Treasure series (I know confusing). But I wanted to mention it because you brought up the lyrics/set design kinda pointing at a starting point. Also, ATEEZ has a reason for everything so if the set reminds you of a scene from the movie that was purposeful, the song itself was inspired by Inception. Actually a few songs in their discography are references to movie...go figure their the cinematic k-pop group. Anyways since ATEEZ is my ULT group I love following your journey and will always try to clarify things, or mention things to react to next. I know at the moment your focused on the Kingdom so I'll hold off on song recommendations until after you get through Answer and The Real.

Oh before I forget, you are the first reactor to really articulate well Mingi's voice sounding one-note because his tone is so unique; but also acknowledging how he does change the cadence between songs. At first it bothered me, but his tone has grown on me over the years especially as I've seen him play with the form. Then I saw him perform live back in November and he killed me; his (albeit the whole group) stage presence is surreal.

WELCOME TO ATINY FANDOM OMGGG!!! im REALLY happy to hear that your bias is our vocal king jongho. u gonna be impressed by him more and more, as soon as you watch all kingdom eps you'll see what im talking about... btw, for the last eps, they would perform "answer" and "the real" with a piece of track "the leaders" (and the cover of iKON's song Rhythm Ta), so it will be great if you check these songs out before watching other kingdom eps. AND ALSO, for us, jongho stans, i really recommend to watch his appearance in "lee mujin service". obviously we've watched han's one already, but jongho's one is KILLING ME every time. so please, of you can, watch this for patreon gang :> jongho also has a killing part in the track called "The Black Cat Nero". it's the cover and kinda remake of the old same-named song by the old generation group "Turbo", so in the MV there's a member of this group. they also performed this song live on 'immortal songs', and this live was INSANE. i recommend to watch both MV and live version. In case someone doesn't already know this but there is a 16ish minute film that Attez did the explains the beginning of the Fever series. It's really good and it can help you to understand the story line a little bit better. Remember that the Fever series tells of the events before the Treasure series. So it doesn't go in chronological order of release. Spin Off? > Fever > Treasure > The World. Spin Off may not go before Fever but I have my theories lol.
