WOAH? i wasn't expecting you to like nmixx this much!! first i want to say i really hope the lyrics are not intentionally suggestive because the members are quite young (2002-2006). their songs are currently known for having disjointed lyrics but telling a story. they're a very new group and they only have 5 original songs right now. they debuted with o.o in february (2022) and their first comeback was with dice in september. they also had a special holiday release called funky glitter christmas! i think you would enjoy o.o (mv) and tank (performance video or lyric video) the most so please react to them next! they're also insanely good at live performances for a rookie group so i'd love to see you react to a live performance like you did with ateez but that's up to you obviously :]

unless I'm unintentionally purifying them, I never thought about the "suggestive" themes as such. The whole song runs around the Alice in Wonderland theme, so "open it up", "go all the way in" and all the others for me are all about the concept of imagination - opening the mind, going all the way into the Wonderland, riding the waves of fantasy and other kinds of metaphors can be applied here. Despite what people think about JYP himself, the company plays it pretty safe until all the members are adults, and Kyujin born in 2006 is very much not yet an adult :)

The lyrics actually about their group concept "mixxpop" which like a dice it's random. And this song theme is based on board game.

@@jahoonotes Same thing. It never occured to me tha the lyrics could "suggest" something else, cause the concept is rather clear. For me is sadder how people jump to imply something is "suggestive" just by the usage of some verbs, like in middle school, despite the context given

NMIXX's concept involves "mixpop" which combines 2-3 different tunes/vibes into one song. Their debut song O.O absolutely messed with everyone's heads and a lot of people hated it or at least found it really confusing at first, but gradually it grew on them. I find that once you've heard the song a few times, it stops sounding like a weird mishmash and starts to make sense -- but it definitely takes multiple listenings! Anyway Lily (short hair) has my favorite female voice in k-pop right now, even if this particular song isn't the best showcase for her incredibly clear, pure-toned voice. You should hear her in "Tank" which is my favorite. Also, the weird cat-mask-face that you couldn't identify is the Cheshire Cat, inspired by Sir John Tenniel's original illustrations for ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

So NMIXX is also a JYP group. Friends with Stray Kids. They were in the M/V's for God's Menu and Back Door. Lily is one of the main vocalists. She's from Australia too and has an amazing voice! She did an Adele cover that blew me away! Edit: I actually made a mistake. It was a different group called Niziu that was in their M/V's. But the rest of my comment about Lily is legit... 😆 🤣

The concept of the music video is literally ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and their genre is called mix-pop like mixing 2-3 songs in 1. Members names are: Lily Jin Park Morrow - Main Vocal Oh Haewon - Lead Vocal Seol Yun Ah (Sullyoon) - Vocal, Dancer Choi Yun Jin (Jinni) - Rapper, Dancer (ex-member, already left the group) Bae Jin Sol (BAE) - Vocal, Dancer Kim Jiwoo - Rapper, Dancer, Vocal Jang Kyujin - Rapper, Dancer, Vocal (Actually their position is base only for what they’re assigned to or like doin’ every performance but according to JYPn, they stated that this group is a ‘ALL ROUNDER GIRL GROUP’ meaning each member has vocals, dance and can rap. Their fandom name is called ‘NSWER’ stands for N-north S-south W-west E-east R-route and their group name ‘NMIXX’ stands for N - now, new, next and unknown MIX - mixing songs Their title track always has a change up thing, listen to their debut song title O.O (this one is more different than dice, i mean yeah it has a change up but i recommend you to listen to the actual studio version or performance video coz in the MV the song may confused you, i don’t know) just watch it and after listen to spotify or performance video then you decide, but for me their songs are LIT 🔥 and also listen to their b-sides called ‘TANK’ and ‘COOL (your rainbow) this songs has no switch or change up thing its just our typical normal songs, i feel like this is kinda nmixx are doin for their future songs like mix-pop on title track and normal songs on b-sides and i feel like its good to showcase their group identity like mix-pop for their group genre/concept and b-sides to showcase each member talents, this is such a good move for JYPe… And also this group don’t know the word ‘lip sync’ they’re known to be called ‘NMIC’🎤 for a reason. This group is the most talented GG of 4th gen. 💯🔥

For female rappers/songs I definitely recommend “Is this Bad B**** number” It’s a collab between BiBi, Lee Youngji (female rapper), and Soyeon (Rapper, leader and producer in the group (G)idle)). My take on this song: if you roll the dice, the possibility of getting the same number of the dots (?? The numbers? Idk) is pretty low, isn't it? It's quite unpredictable. So the song is like rolling the dice - you don't know what you will get next and it always changes. Cool reaction, Father, glad your belongings survived!

"Spread it open are you ready?" isn't supposed to be suggestive because they are refering to the board game "DICE" plus they are still too young for "suggestive lyrics" the lyrics are pretty straightforward, it's in their concept. Thank you for the reaction

So happy you've reacted to NMIXX! They're a newer group from the same company as SKZ and Lily especially is close to Chan/Felix (Australian mates). Thank you for recognizing their talent! They focus on "mixing" songs within a song, hence all the beat changes, but there are a lot of people that have sadly criticized them for this style of music. Never noticed how the lyrics could be interpreted suggestively but for what it's worth there are minors in the group. Their lyrics are definitely on the odd side but so far I've interpreted their title tracks as talking about them as artists (ex. "expect the unexpected" being about not knowing what beat to expect next in a song etc.") "O.O" is another one of their "mix" style songs, "Tank" and "Cool Your Rainbow" really highlight their amazing vocals. Looking forward to more reactions!

I think you gonna like tank and cool both are great songs. And give a chance to O.O as well personally it's my favorite song from a rookie last year. Also the lyrics actually about their concept "mixxpop" which is mixing genre in one song. Also, in this song they are talking mixxtopia (their universe/lore) which is a world full of imagination and all that stuff. When they said "all in now" it refer to gamble and "open it up" they tell people to open their mind when they want to know about or listening to nmixx cause they are an experimental group and basically this song is about playing board game. The lyrics can be sense as suggestive without context or knowing the purpose of the group lmao but they aren't at all. They're inviting you to play their game (music/mixpop) and to "spread" your horizons for you to enjoy the ride that is their world, all represented by different types of boarding games and puzzles. At first, it may have no sense because you're not used to this kind of rhythm change, like literally their name is NMIXX. Their world could be confusing to the normal eye, but in their strangely beautiful world, that's the norm for them, just like in Alice in Wonderland uwu You should check their O.O MV and read the lyrics like you're watching a long ass teaser, then hear Tank. It will make sense. To be honest, I have loved their concept since day 1. It's really weird and, at the same time, refreshing the way their producers construct their music doesn't follow the rules, and for me, that's awesome. Also, their live vocals are INSANE specially Lily M (She's an aussie too, and is close to SKZ, especially Chan). In my humble opinion, they're the best voices of the whole 4th gen.

When NMIXX had their debut song (I think it is) "O.O" it got a lot of hate for changing up in the song so much, a lot said it's cool to be creative and change a bit but not to the point where the song doesn't actually harmonize anymore. Personally i liked it a lot alongside with others, it was something refreshing and catchy. The chorus kinda blew me off but it was nothing that bad and i got used to it. I'd love to see you reacting to that song.
