Oh there's a good behind the scenes on this one. The crazy muffled yelling in the middle...that's Chan and Changbin. They were recording that in the bathroom of the dorm, I believe. Lee Know heard them and didn't realize it wasn't real. He was worried and asked HAN to check on them to make sure they were okay. Lee Know was very new to the group at the time, so I think he probably felt like HAN would be a better person to approach them. Our SKZ love each other, even back at the beginning! ❤️

That's definitely not true. There's no behind the scenes for this song. Nobody records in the bathroom. Lee Know is and was the Dance Leader, so wasn't nervous about talking to BangChan and Changbin. He wasn't new to the group he'd been part of for years. He wouldn't send a younger member to deal with an older one because he was nervous. And when he first joined the group it was Han who made him uncomfortable. But apart from all that, sure that's what happened 🙄

And while they were not recording in the bathroom, I did have that bit wrong...musicians often do record in bathrooms because acoustics are good. I've always recorded all my audition tapes in a bathroom. :)

This track has made me fall in love with Changbin even more than I think is possible. And yes I was drawn to him because his part in every song just evokes so much emotion and ascends me to so many levels even without me understanding the lyrics. No one really does it like him. NO ONE.

The craziest thing for me personally is that this masterpiece of a song is from their DEBUT album! Rookie Stray Kids DID this! South Korea wasn't ready for sth so complex and deep coming from 17 years old boys. It wasn't "k-POP" they used too, but completely different, artistic, aery experience. The whole I AM NOT album is like that. Absolutely masterpiece made by young artists, not mainstream producers, and it was too experimental for Koreans to understand this and appreciate them.

Both 3rd eye and Mirror were put in their debut album I am NOT, which in itself is insane in a good way. The I am series (their first trilogy) basically follow a story/message and their debut album was mostly them talking about their inner struggles, figuring out who they are. So it's interesting seeing them explore that message in the diversity of tracks just on the debut album. I believe that the reason these songs have more of a rock element, as if to give them an almost edgy vibe, is due to the heavy topic they're discussing, and with being young and all, they probably experienced these emotions as well. I really need to go back and listen to the whole I Am series again because it's such a masterpiece. It would be great if you could react to "Awaken" and "Rock" next :D

I agree so much about the emotion trigger in their voice, I can almost appropriate those feelings because they convey them so well. I feel like Chan does it pretty well too, and if you want to hear a very emotional song (literally made me cry) the cover of Love Poem by Seungmin and 2 other artists is incredible (they sang it for Kingdom) even if there’s no rap

I Love when you react to their early stuff and appreciate how Insane their talents were even at the very beginning of their career. They've only gotten better and I know we all can't wait to see where they go. With these today, you have covered a big chunk of their debut album. 18:56 I think on the instrumental part, it slightly opened and then swe the reality of this world is actually dark, hence why you can hear 2 people in the background kinda arguing in the instrument (Changbin choked Chan while he recorded that and Lee know walked by, thinking they were fighting). But it closed again, that's why the beat changed and they started saying "open": they're more hopeful? now. The only time their 3rd eye will open is when they fully know who they are but they're called "stray kids", they don't fully know who they are themselves but slowly by slowly, their 3rd eye will open

Teddy I'd recommend "My Side" (OT8) by Skz too. It has some crazy beat switches and i remember being wowed when i heard it long ago. Very underrated but sick rapping and song especially the long Changbin verse

First rap that ever made me emotional was Fort Minor's "Kenji," and to this day I can't hear it without feeling like I'm going to tear up. I think the emotion thing is part of why my bias is Chan, because whether he sings or raps I always feel like I can hear the emotion in it. They are all amazing though.

hi Teddy, I wrote it to you under another video but I don't know if you had read it.. I wanted to suggest STOP as long as it seems to me a different song from the others, it reminds a bit of old western songs, but still a gem of the Stray Kids who still show a time how versatile they are and when they are always able to create something different and unique .. many artists compose songs and then in the end they all look alike, the Stray Kids songs on the other hand stand out from each other and the surprising thing is that they are all beautiful!

I’m not sure if you’ve already had this question answered, but the reason there’s similar themes between Mirror and 3rd Eye is because they both appear on the I Am Not album. It was their debut album (they did one pre debut album too) and so the themes of wondering who they are continue throughout some of the tracks

I think another artist-rapper who was able to awoke emotions in my by the way they were rapping was NF. English isn't my first language, and when I've started listening to NF, it was hard for me to catch all the lyrics and understand the song and the meaning behind it fully. But still, his voice, his delivery was making me feel emotions and was touching my soul. So yeah, if you want to, you can check his music as well. He has a lot of dark, but meaningful songs in his discography Also, thank you so much for your skz reactions. They make my day🤗

I've just realised that you don't know that 3Racha record guides for all the tracks they write so everyone knows how their part is supposed to sound. Every note, every gap, every change of tone and pitch is all deliberate. And by every measure Changbin is officially the best rapper in K-pop and almost certainly the fastest rapper in history (the record is words per min in the west vs syllables per second, so there's no way to know for sure.) So people who don't admit that are very stupid and not worth bothering with.
