I'm sitting in a truck, up on look out point, sun setting and turning the sky orange, in a small third world country called Wyoming. As I close my eyes I start to hear the sounds, and feel the spirit, of Duane Allman, emanating from my speakers, filling the cab, as the wind gently blows through. The torch passed, as this groove, this beautiful improvised jam ebbs and flows both in volume and intensity, the leads pouring out of those guitars, only to come back to earth again, with whispers of Clapton coming from Susan's beautiful voice. What a band!! As the mighty Platte river meanders thru the city the song sits on my heart...."why does love have to be so sad......" Thank you for this music....

@@briancrawford7981 I’m not sure what you consider reasonable for the tic’s I bought for the seats I did, but they were a little less than $600 (but they were also the Chase Bank client ‘reserved’ seats, and the ones that were right alongside were double the cost IIRC) each before the fees, taxes, etc. It’s going to be at the NJPAC in Newark, NJ, which I haven’t been to for many, many years - and that was for a symphony performance. But compared with the same seat location I had at the Met Life venue for Elton John’s ‘Farewell’ concert in ‘22, those were close to $2,000 each - before the add’l fees! But for me it was definitely worth it❗️👍

A great, great tune and I love Derek Trucks as a guitarist. So much clarity, tone, and feeling. But if you want to understand what a singular guitarist Eric Clapton was at the height of his powers, youve got to listen to WDLGTBSS on Derek and the Dominos In Concert album. The best 1-album band in rock history, and even as a 4-person band after Duane they were bogglingly good - they overwhelm the audience. And Clapton on the same song lays down two of the most amazing solos ever recorded. His guitar literally screams and wails on the first lead and then soothes and mezmerizes on the slow ending solo. It will blow you away. And the lead on Let It Rain may even be better.
