I live in the US and couldn’t imagine a life like this, but the ironic thing is they seem to have so much more inner peace than I could deem possible. You should give it a try, buy some basic stuff and go to your national park and get permission to stay a week (provided there are no cougars our bears around) and just relax, just bring some sort of defense and a park ranger approved sat phone. Just be smart, if need be have a guide take you. Its enlightening even just a week. I went a year without human contact only because I grew up since a small child knowing the ins and out of bushcrafting.

Wow what a beautiful trip. Simple living people butt they closed to nature. It remind me of my childhood, my village used to be…..misses those happiness with very simple moment. Searching for mushrooms during monsoon season, playing cards or PW at the street while cows just passes by us, hanging around neighborhood without any hesitations and talking about simple activities of our daily life at our village roadside…never thought that those moments were one of the most precious time…our village has changed a lot now, kids and adults are busy with their smart gadgets and less group activities to be seen.
