2001 Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. One of Friedrich Bangs favorite tracks. Although not one of the most successful ones. Come see in which way GP4 kicks me in the bal... butt this time.

You can think of all your technical difficulties as issues with your car. It's nothing ever perfect for the drivers in real life either. This is the ultimate immersion. :D From the cockpit it looked like Coulthard turned in on you but it was actually you. Crazy how much first person bias and perspective matters. Oh, as to "not having capital letters being cool", I switched to hatcher from Hatcher back in the 2000's too. :D

1. Lower your car for qualification. 2. Set fuel for 2 laps, first lap on 7th gear. 3. Front wing 7-8, rear 2-3.

Cool. I haven't played this game for years. I may still have the original DVD with the game on it. Right now on my Windows 10 PC, I have just Grand Prix Legends (GPL) installed and working. Thanks for showing us the game again. take care.

Your race time was 4 minutes faster than the actual 2001 Canada GP... there was a three laps SC period and the race was won by Ralf, so you should have won because you were driving his car. 😁 Your Quali time was almost identical to Michael's real-world pole time 1;15.782... you were six hundredths faster. Spooky that your 'incident' with DC happened on the exact same lap that he retired in the real race. 😮 Tip for optimizing fuel load: Set fuel for one lap more than you want then while the crew are working rev the engine in neutral to burn some off so you leave the pit with about 0.3 lap extra fuel.

Enjoyable watch this one Ted! Whilst I was working today at home, but found myself gripped to this one. Really strongly contested race. My heart stopped for a moment when you did the 180 after the spin, I thought the Ferrari was going to gather you up in a big crash. As it turned out, it was pretty cool 😎 1:39:10

Was there stutter when the spin happened? Can you retest the the live stream environment with fraps running to see if the frames drop when entering corners? If you could let me know if you were operating at single core or more too. Thanks

Hey! There was no stutter, but my monitor "blinked". It's not visible on the live-stream because it's a different output (through the capture card). It might be a hardware issue on my Windows 7 PC or something, the screen randomly blinks during gameplay, usually doesn't matter too much but this time I blinked really badly and at the worst possible moment :D The CPU setting in GPxPatch is "0" so in my understanding it's using multiple cores.

@@TedMeat CPU setting of "0" would mean 1 core in use . try "ALL" and see if it reduces stutter or random freezing/blinking etc. I've only tested in GP3 this week and need "All" set to get any kind of smoothness to the game in a half decent resolution.

In my opinion ffb is very good. Of course not as detailed than in modern sims but works very well still.
