You sold me YEARS ago on the Benjamin Discovery, I added a tko22 can and a 2nd barrel band and shot 20k pellets through it.. eventually it was stolen out of my truck, but until that happened, it was my absolute go to for pests. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of sparrows and starlings met their demise thanks to that setup 😏 now I have several pcps, but I'll never forget my first. Thank you Ted, you really opened the door in a big way for many people. Keep up the awesome work!

I was sold years ago from teds shooting with the edguns and early FX. Bought myself a marauder in .25 cal. That led to me owning numerous other pcp rifles over the past 10 years and now the younger members of my family shoot my near 15 year old upgraded, regulated and customized marauder. Fun hobby for the whole family. I own 2 large safe full of powder burners but… I always come back to airguns. Shoot right in your back yard and keeps your marksmanship sharp all year. Ted, so nice to see you again. It's been quite some time and I have missed your videos. This rifle looks like a real winner! It's difficult to find a rifle that doesn't have a lot a plastic parts...just like vehicles. No plastic exudes quality. I ventured back into airguns in 2013. I have a Crosman Nitro Venom .22 and a Diana 34P in .22. I could not achieve consistent groups less than 1.5" at 25 yds with either of those break barrels. In 2018 I bought my first, and only, PCP. It is a Gamo Urban in .22 caliber. I paid $220 for it on Amazon along with a cheap Chinese hand pump for $85. I purchased a UTG 3-12x44 Compact scope for it. My sole purpose for an airgun is to protect my bluebirds from the harassing sparrows. I chose the Urban because it too is a quality airgun and basically a BSA Buccaneer at 1/3 the cost. My shooting distance to the nesting boxes in my back yard is 25-35 yds. This Gamo Urban is capable of 1/2" groups with a JSB 18.1g pellet at 30 yds. Like you, I shoot from my wife's sewing room. So far this year, I shot 11 sparrows from the 35-yard box. The Urban is very accurate and it's has never lost a pound of air in the five years I've owned it. The hand pump works as well as when I bought it in 2018. I do take care of my equipment. I put a few drops of silicone oil in the fill probe every few hundred shots and lube the hand pump with silicone oil once a year. I never over heat the pump either. I am 77 years old and have no issue with the hand pump. I shoot two mags, 20 shots, and refill. If I was in the market for another PCP, I would give this JTS a good look see. Thank for your honest review of this rifle. It's pretty impressive at that price point. Take care, and I hope to see more videos from you in the near future. 😉👍👍 Geo from Kalamazoo, MI

I bought gamo urban and jts airacuda standard both in .22 caliber.The guns are very accurate but i think airacuda is more accurate above 50 yards and way more powerful almost 40 fpe(urban 21 fpe)
@geojohnson56139 ай бұрын
@@chrisal36 Yes, the Urban is lower power. The hammer spring can be adjusted to increase the power up to almost 30 FPE. I do not have a chronograph but I have not seen a need to increase the power level. I have made one-shot kills on four woodchucks at 20-25 yds. Shot placement is most important when pesting. I don't think those woodchucks could tell that they were hit with only 23 FPE, and they were just as dead. If you need to go long range beyond 50 yds I can see the need for more power though.
@chrisal369 ай бұрын
Airacuda is better for hunting above 50 yards.urban is better choice for hunting below 50 yards and backyard plinking(it's a little quieter).Both guns are excellent choices for the money they cost

Hey Ted, I ordered a .25 right after I watched your video. It just arrived about 30 minutes ago. Got a scope on it and give it a mag of pellets. It's terrific! Includes 2 of the mags out of the box. No plastic. Everything is very nice. Shoots terrific. Sighted in in just a few shots and with my own hand poured Noe mold .25 pellets it's shooting great group right out of the box. I did the 10 for$10 to make sure I got a new good rifle from Pyramid. (Don't ask) but I will do 10 for 10 from now on to make sure I always get a brand new gun not used from them. Anyway very pleased with it so far. I only bought this due to your recommendation. So please keep the reviews honest always just like I feel you always have. Thank you for that! Have fun!

First off, love your videos Ted you are partially responsible for hundreds of my dollars spent and completely responsible for putting this PCP monkey on my back so for that sir... I thank you. I have the jts airracuda standard in . 25 for all the reasons you stated in the video I knew it was going to be a great shooter from the moment I saw it so i ordered it within the first week they were out and have not been let down at all . As I said I am highly addicted to these PCP airguns so not long after that (maybe a month) I couldn't fight it anymore I knew it was going to be worth it so I scooped up the airracuda max in .22 and also got the max in .30 the day it dropped on pyramyd Air so needless to say I wholeheartedly agree about the value and quality from the jts line and cannot wait to see what they have to offer in very near future ( stealth hawk) I personally havent experienced any of the quality control issues I have plagued some users such as the clipping that is caused by the barrel crown or magazines not fitting properly due to the breach warping (as I understand it generally user error in over-tightening stock screw) I love the potential for adjustment being that you can adjust the valve, regulator and hammer spring for the Max and the standard can be adjusted just as easily minus the regulator but with the added adjustability of the transfer port but if I did have any complaints for lack of a better word it would be not having a 300 bar fill for the max or at least an external adjuster for the regulator and more than anything I think one of its greatest limiting factors is the shorty barrel at 430ish mm. I would have liked to have seen a 650 mm or 700 mm barrel for the .30 especially and maybe a 550 mm barrel for the standard but at the price I can't complain too much especially considering the accuracy that these things can produce and the stocks are gorgeous too in my opinion they need no further work but if you like a more polished look they look great that way too. Oh and FYI the power adjuster on a standard is simply a transfer port adjuster the hammer spring is adjusted at the back of the breach underneath the pellet pusher housing at the rear of the air tube, still very easy to adjust after taking the stock off.

@Machinekamer45712 күн бұрын
@ hello, thanks for your response. The .25 (with H&N or polymag) shoots very precise. No i do not recommend getting a hand pump, those cost like 70 euro when a chinese compressor 12v or 230v (two options so you can use it on your vehichle or at home) cost only 100 euro. Ive shot around 200 times now with an electric optic (accufire arc1) and it shoots so much better then my 3 other rifles (gamo forest, ekol carnivore and snowpeak pr900w). Very nice rifle. The only downside is its weight. Its a bit heavy but you’ll manage. Hope this info helps. Next gun im looking out for is the JTS Stealth Hawk because of a real bolt action system.
