Youth sport could be so much more for the millions and millions of people that participate weekly: a solution to worldwide health issues, a place to learn great human values and to gain important lifelong skills, a place to find long term friendships and so much more.
Sports can save the world. Truly.
Yet children are quitting en masse and these opportunities are being lost for our next generations. Sport culture needs to be retooled and reinvented. Will Cromack developed the Play Better program to do just that. Play Better. Watch as he explains how a simple adjustment of changing the reward system can lead to a fix for our toxic youth sport culture so that all kids can go play better.
An active entrepreneur, sports enthusiast and veteran of creating social good programs, this Dad of three is into supporting people to make a difference on the planet.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Participation rewards like this is whats creating a society that lacks true leadership. Always play to win, play to your full ability What is lacking is coaches that teach a team to lose well! The skills he is talking about should be developed at home and during hobbies. Parents are becoming lazy and expecting everyone else to raise their children....this will then flow over into sports

In sports we can look at our own biases through face value when ever we decide its just a "game", and congratulate or admire ( get inspired off them ) the oppositions our preferred teams face, we congratulate them for their abilities to win.
