Ahh Chief! Glad to see you on TEDX spreading the word of our forgotten people. Like you i too am chief of a smaller tribe descendant of the lencas. Glad to see you doing great things for our people.

@@lenkasoul6704 Quelepa is an archaeological site. San miguel USED to be lenca territory. There is no Lemca nation. There is next to no native culture left in El Salvador. The fact you are from san miguel doesnt make you lenca.

@@LuisRamirez-vv4dk Quelepa means the Stone of the Jaguar, i haven't said i'm Lenca , that a Childish card, i said i was born in what it used to be Lenca Territory, if you haven't experienced the culture you can't say there's no left native people in el salvador, i invite you to visit chilanga, corinto, perquin,cacaopera, yucuaiquin, mayucaquin, poloros,torola, and the list can go on, go see it yourself!

I'm still learning about my family roots as far what both parents to my Great grandparents their are all born in the Eastern part of El Salvador. I'm born in the US but I love to know more of my family root.

Take a AncestryDNA or 23andMe test. My family is from Eastern El Salvador aswell. I have my results on my channel.

Love it. I've recently started delving into my ancestry and it's amazing what I know now 😊 there's so much more I want to learn from Lenca history. I haven't been to El Salvador in yeaaars!! But I think it's time to go back 😁 It's like I've gained a new found respect to the land and people that I come from.

Milton - I am beginning this process myself. My family is from La Union. My grandparents are all from there except for my mother's mom who was born and raised in Honduras. Are there any other videos or reading you can forward to me with regards to the history of eastern part of El Salvador and ancient tribes? Thanks!

@@aver28357 No not a Mayan sub tribe. Lencas speak an isolated language. Not related to any other group.
