LOL False! Its all fake. Mentalism is old magic tricks re vamped. All of Lior's "magic" is in his pre show which we don't see on the segments that are aired! I have been involved in magic for years so i know exactly what I'm talking about. So what he does is a mini show with the same guests minutes before taping and tells them that its being done to make them feel comfortable and so that they know what to expect once the live show/taping has begun. During his sneaky pre show he uses many different tools to collect "secret" data such as high school crushes or fav football scores. If you could ask the host of this show he will tell you that just before filming Lior had him write the football score down then flush or burn the paper. What he did not realize is the data was saved on his secret note pad for use in the Live show. If you go to 24:35 you will see a girl and it's important to watch about 5 or 10 seconds and at 24:40 she looks back at the newspapers before he tells her to. This makes me think that it was preplanned. I think that because he noticed that she looked, he had to quicly say it. Why would she look over at the newspapers before he had even mentioned it if it wasn't planned?

she was looking at him when his eyes move to the newspaper so she also looked back to see what he's looking. if that one was planned then all of those volunteers would also have to be planned. that's about 20 -30 people of the entire audience (it's quite small event, maybe about 100 there I estimate). It's impossible to have that many people to be planned without the secret getting out. And these are quite young kids that would be hard for them not to at least tell expose the secret if all of them were planned.

He manipulated the girl to choose the word believe by talking with the audience about "BELIEVE in yourself" . I got his manipulation trick then also when he asked the boy to draw anything randomly inside the circle as he made a circular movement in front while asking the boy to close eyes. And during 10:24 he was not cheating or something it's just that he was making sure that he writes the spelling of believe correct in numeric form. He always freaks me out with his skills, he is really a good manipulator aka master mentalist. Lucky people who got to meet him here in India.

Im beginning to think that ALL the newspapers he uses for all his gigs are identical. As in, it doesn't matter where the volunteer opens up the newspaper, EVERY page will have the same words/articles but they are made to look totally different for example, he'll have pages titled Sports, News, Business etc...but they all have the same articles. He then uses his hands to manipulate the volunteer where to they should move their hands, and once he/she lands on the pre-chosen word, he stops them and says "You want to stop there?". He poses it as a question, but he plays on the fact that they are shy or nervous and chances are they won't say "NO". This way, he makes it seem like they made a free choice, but in reality they did not. Still, really difficult to execute.

nope the newspapers are just random once its all him pushing them gently towards a particular newspaper or 3 that he read and picked a word from because this newspapers that he used are actualy from the same country .. the two times i have seen him do it.. they were diffrent. so he basicaly manipulates them to pick what he wants.. o also he did it one more time with books from the studio wall its all influence :-D
