Tedy's jersey is the only one I ever bought. I was so impressed and overwhelmed how he handled his stroke and came back to play. There were so many legends on those Patriots teams. But Tedy stood out amongst even them.

There was something special about those guys from the 90s and early 2000s patriots teams. If you go back and watch the way they held each other accountable, and pushed each other to be the best. They played for each other, you just don't see that anymore.
@Chalk89 Жыл бұрын
Yes, which is why I think Bill B. doesn’t have much time left in today’s NFL. You can tell that the incoming guys lack the same attitude, camaraderie and Bill can’t thrive under those circumstances.

And for those who don't remember the name Coates, that mofo was a bad ass TE. He and Russ Francis were older Patriots that were badddddd asses. What was that game when Ben took a pass from Drew and carried half the defense on his back down the field? Was that Miami, Dallas? It was hilarious. Call it a Mark Bavaro moment. He was the original security blanket for Drew, and they had a great connection.

I remember when Rodney Harrison was playing for them once saying that no player on the Patriots team were allowed to get too full of themselves because there was always work to put in to get better. Ben Coates was the best NE tight end until a guy named Gronk entered the chat. BTW, those late '90s guys were the strong nucleus of players that directly led to the first part of the Patriots dynasty. Those guys developed together and turned into a fantastic team.

I really hate there term cussing out because players are supposed to take in the overall message and not the swear words. And the definition of cussing someone out is typically to disrespect them. I don’t think tedy was intent on verbally abusing Julian but rather to motivate him. I’m sure Brady was giving Julian a good talking to.
@resdog851 Жыл бұрын
I think you're overthinking this one. I liken it to while I was in the Marines and EVERYONE was mean to one another. The intent was to show the young guys who the alpha male pit bull was, and to toughen up and start becoming that pit bull too.
