Thanks for all your hard work TJ. I am envious of your skills and would love to see a video on how you got into programming and how you managed to build up your skills to your current level. I work as a process engineer and do some level of programming at work but would love to exercise these skills more. I've set up a github account and might even aim for a first pull request for something out there this weekend 😀

That's an excellent video idea :) I am considering trying to do more short (well, short-ish) videos like this and adding them to the channel.

And good luck with doing your pull request :) open source can be so much fun!

Hey TJ, I was gonna submit an issue on github about telescope but didn't bc i didn't have time to rn but i don't want to forget, I just tried out telescope and it was pretty cool, there are two main issues that keep me from using it though: 1. the time it takes for the window to show up is pretty long, 2. I have to press esc twice to quit it. I'm on macOS Big Sur , nvim nightly

1. I don't know why it'd take a long time, but it's possible some other plugin is affecting opening windows. You could try with a minimal init.vim and if you can reproduce it, then I'll take a look (but it's very fast for me) 2. You can do this: github.com/nvim-telescope/telescope.nvim/wiki/Configuration-Recipes#mapping-esc-to-quit-in-insert-mode

@@teej_dv Thanks, man! The delay problem is actually there with fzf.vim, idk why but opening a nvim terminal is just slow on macs no matter which terminal i'm using. telescope.nvim window is a little slower than fzf's as of opening speed. Thank for your work tho the plugin is really cool!

I've tried neovim, that's why I use Vim and never look back again 😂😂😂😂

master vim with no plugins / just the defaults. dont get caught up with neovim and its plugin-hell. this is the unix way. or be a hipster html engineer type and use neovim... and then desert it because "vscode just werks". those people were never truly vim users.
