Understand: Megadeth's expensive, unchanging guitar is Dave Mustaine... who looks for personality, creativity and a certain exoticism that fits the proposal in his solo guitarists on his albums. Cris Poland brought things from Jazz and fusion, Marty Friedman came with exotic, oriental, Arabic, Japanese and Indian scales with other tensions and resolutions..... Kiko, who was a student of a guy called Mozart Mello who was in Brazil like Ted Greene, Joe Diorio or Mick Goodrick and brought to Megadeth the extensions, accents and lyricism of Brazilian music, with a lot of influence from Chick Corea, Hermeto Paschoal, popular music, Toninho Horta, Baden Powell , neoclassical music and Villa Lobos, etc. ... These 3, Poland, Friedman and Loureiro were the most significant guitarists in the band, which goes far beyond faithfully reproducing Marty Friedman's solos.

Teemu kicks ass. Period!!! Consider where Teemu is from, Finland, world capitol of metal music for the last 30 plus years and also the resulting metal guitar legends the Finnish metal scene has produced over the same time period. Teemu is also influenced by the greatest metal guitarist and frontman of the last 25 years, also from Finland! Who is that you may ask? Alexi Laiho (R.I.P), of course. Alexi being the lead guitarist, lead singer, lead composer and founder of the bands Children of Bodom and Sinergy. Children of Bodom, is the greatest melodic death metal band of the last 25 years! Period!!! Also, both Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman respected Alexi Laiho greatly as both a lead guitarist and frontman of a great metal band Sinergy was a Finnish metal super band founded by Alexi Laiho and also featured one of his Finnish metal guitar hero's, Finland's legendary lead guitarist Roope Latvala from Finlands legendary metal band Stone. Sinergy also featured Kim Goss (USA) lead vocals and legendary Finnish bass player / vocalist Marco Hietala. Marco, also being the frontman / bassist for legendary Finnish band Nightwish. Teemu was likely heavily influence by the bands Stone, Children of Bodom and Sinergy. Sinergy featuring the insane twin lead guitar playing of Alexi Laiho and Roope Latvala. The (3) Sinergy albums along with Alexi's and Roope's twin lead guitars, absolutely stomp on the Marty Friedman / Jason Becker twin guitars project's from the late1980's / early 90's! Period!!! Sinergy is possibly, the best metal band with twin lead guitars in the history of metal music!!! Unlike Friedman / Becker. Sinergy and Children of Bodom were both true band's of brothers, drunken bother's that is and also from the metal music capitol of the world, Finland!!! Also checkout Alexi Laiho's cover band from Helsinki, Finland, The Local Band. The Local Band being a great cover band, assembled by Alexi to have fun and also proved popular enough to tour all over Europe, the Far East and etc... Teemu is still young and SISU flows in his veins! The metal music world is going to hear a lot of insane guitar playing from Teemu both now and into the future, regardless of whether or not he's playing for Megadeath, Wintersun or some future metal band!!!
@toddventura7191 Жыл бұрын
It astounds me that Finland never ceases to produce absolute legends, not just in music but also in motor racing too. Alexi Laiho was unbelievable!!! Wish I had the chance to meet him. Seemed like a really nice dude. Also there's Mika Häkkinen and Kimi Räikkönen... ahh, too many Finnish legends. I really hope to visit that country one day.
@stevenchayer9199 Жыл бұрын
Finland, per capita, has the best music scene in the world, from pop to metal to classical and most styles in between. As an example, the legendary classical composer, Jean Sibelius, is still a Finnish national hero to this day and an influence on modern metal music and guitarists. To be fair, America dominates in Rap and hip hop and etc... The Finnish language in spoken form, to my ears, is the most musical sounding of any language I've heard and is also naturally "heavy" sounding! To my ears, there is something in the cadence and tone of a female / local girl when speaking Finnish that is absolutely mind blowing! Again, very musical sounding. Which translates into an insane pop / pop rock music scene, especially the many great female artists. See below for links. However, the Finnish metal bands all seem to write their lyrics in English. As a result of discovering the Finnish music scene, the language, the economic system, long history and etc... I decided to travel to Finland for the first time in 2013. Since then, I've been very fortunate and have traveled to Finland a total of (3) times on vacation. Also on each trip, spent time in other Nordic / Scandinavian countries, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Estonia. All are unique and have their shit together, economically, culturally and etc...!!! In short, all take care of their citizens and as a result the citizens have the time, freedom and financial means to create great works of art, music being just one form of that art! As a result of all of the above, I decided to learn the Finnish language! Suomi keilli on oikein kaunis!!! (The Finnish language is very beautiful!!!). Which has tuned into a journey equivalent of learning to play lead guitar in the 80's, Randy Rhoads, EVH and etc... materiel. Both extremely difficult, but in the end extremely gratifying when you nail a Rhoads solo at 15 years old, or a new Finnish phrase or sentence at 54 years old!!! It is said that the Finnish language is by far the most difficult of any European language for English speakers to learn!!! And is rumored to be the language brought to Earth by aliens or the language of secret codes! On my last trip, April 2019, which is off season and dirt cheap for airfare and hotels, I did visit Kimi Räikkönen's night club / bar while in Helsinki. Kimi has a nice / classy place and good local beer by the bottle or on tap!!! A short walk away is the legendary pop / rock / metal music night club Tavastia. On the 2019 trip, I was also fortunate enough to see the legendary Finnish all girl rock band, Tiktak!!! Tiktak were signed to Universal Records when the bands average was like 15 years old!!! The bass player is also way cool, finger style, no pick, and as I refer to her, the fairest and finest bass player in all of Finland, (Mimmu Hyvönen)!!! Tiktak also toured the USA and Europe in the early 2000's. See below for links. Also on this trip, flew to Kittilla above the Arctic Circle to nordic ski, visit a Sami reindeer operation and was pulled through the Finnish / Lapland forest or over an hour riding in a single person sleigh by a reindeer!!! And stayed at the legendary Hullu Poro Hoteli, (Crazy Reindeer Hotel), which has a great night club and is a staple for all band touring the Finnish club circuit. The female Finnish artist that I saw at Hullu Poro was non other than Paula Vesala, who formally fronted the legendary Finnish pop / pop rock / trip hop band PMMP!!! One of many great trips to Finland. And if I could convince my wife, would have emigrated to Finland following the 2013 trip!!! Here is some "different" music for you. And don't blame me if you want to travel to Finland next summer to the festivals and return home to begin torturing yourself by learning the Finnish language!!!! As for the trashers... There are some with whom he's on par, and some whom I've seen/heard playing faster and more technical - and, FYI, not seeing Teemu playing faster or more technical songs like Rings of Saturn that doesn't mean that he wouldn't be able to play those songs. But really? What's this about "There are better players than Teemu"? I'm not sure if at this level, you can say one is better than the other. There is speed, accuracy, technique, etc., and don't forget creativity either. But being better or worse in any of these doesn't mean someone is generally "better" or "worse", just someone playing more or less faster, more or less accurately, using more or less complex/difficult techniques, and being more or less creative, etc. But this whole thing isn't about who's better, it's not a competition. It's a form of art. As for technique, Teemu is one of the best.

Saudade das crianças...
@danielmendonca1500 Жыл бұрын
Kiko disse que queria passar mais tempo com a família simplesmente, já tem 51 anos e quer participar mais do crescimento das crianças e ao mesmo tempo não poderia deixar o Megadeth de lado, por isso ele saiu.

Broderick with much more feel. No Marty though. Pretty fn good I must say. Ofcourse it all compares to Freedman so I suppose it will fall short. Marty is definitely one of a kind and has stapled his style to which no one can match. At least for what he has with the mighty MEGADETH

bruh what? Broderick's solos sounded like someone just jammin a bunch of scales together lol

I worked security. When Hans Zimmer played, I was a fool 100 feet from where I was supposed to be. Couldn't help it. Unbelievably incredible concert.

Megadeth solo too easy for him, because some people still dont know wintersun solo what its like
@Kartellinen Жыл бұрын
I think Wintersun`s many songs are like "solo`s" as a whole. I don`t know if I can it explain properly. I mean, some bands can have a basic song and then there is the peak moment, the solo. But Wintersun has songs that are just pure epicness from the first note to the last one and in that sense the whole song is like epic "solo" in a way, having that climax moment all the time during the song.

Kiko had teaching him to play and train him before left Megadeth. They prepared him before he joined the band.

What it is exactly that you're trying to say here? Sounds like those hurried but miraculous Kiko lessons you're describing would certainly be worth millions per hour. You haven't ever tried to learn to play any musical instrument, have you?

Megadeth's songs are exercises for Kiko. He is a complete guitarist, he should focus on his solo career, as he is limited in Megadeth.

@@leogrenier9488 Kiko has released albums with Angra, a solo career and is a guitarist who masters all guitar techniques. Kiko's hybrid picking solos are on another level. Teemu is a cover guitarist, eternali cover guitarist.
