I live in Cincinnati and my BF worked with his father. It is such a heartbreaking story and his mom and dad turned this situation into a positive for the city by attending city council meetings and working with CPD to rectify the errors made that day to prevent it ever happening again. It doesn’t bring their precious son back, but I believe the type of people they are helps them to heal 💔 from their family’s loss. They not once lost their temper or acted out in anger, did not sue 😮 towards the city… I don’t think I could do the same. ♥️ God bless them🙏

You cannot blame all Police and for one policeman just like you cannot all dispatches like this dispatcher. They’re actually giving the information as the caller is speaking to them. This particular dispatcher failed to provide the information but that’s not what the normal protocol is. They want to keep talking to the caller, up until the moment first responders arrive. I actually had to make the call earlier this year. It was a very serious emergency and I was given the directions for chest compressions, but I only had gotten to a couple compressions before the police arrived. They were there within a minute or two. Yet the whole time I was on the phone, the operator was talking to me. She was able to get the information out, as she was getting it from me.

She kept asking him where he was? Couldn't she hear him? I heard him clearly. Too many cases of totally incompetent 911 operators. This is heartbreaking.. And cops who don''t want to get off their butts and check things. But I'd sue the car company too. How many times have I put my knee on a seat and reached over. I looked it up, a news outlet easily recreated it. There is a latch but you can't easily tell if it's set right and the whole weight of the seat comes down on you, plus it pushes you head down. Blood pools in the skull and pressures the brain. He was right, he knew it was serious and he didn't have much time.

I use to work for a 911 dispatch back in 2006 and back then MANY dispatch centers were getting updated to be able to pinpoint location where calls came from. Exact locations. For purposes like this, for purposes where people cannot speak but are in danger, and for purposes if the caller doesn’t know where they are. Many dispatch centers were already equipped to do so back then.

I got stuck going down a rabbit hole with the Levi Nagy headstone. Anderson High School in Ohio has apparently had many student deaths in the past several years. The school almost seems cursed. Would be a good story for Lamont to do just based on the closeness of the students deaths at that particular high school. Two within 3 days apart in 2021.

Oh my, this one is gut-wrenching! What a tragedy. I can't even fathom the depth of pain & anger his family felt after hearing that he had called 911 MORE THAN ONCE for help & gave all the information they needed??! Thanks for the stories. You share them with compassion & respect.

This haunts me, I remember it. Can people hang up and dial 911 again if they get these idiots? Our hiring practices are killing us!!! That boy in distress did EVERYTHING he could. Put these operators in jail!!! I mourn for the loss of his precious life and for his family who have been gutted. All because hiring lazy illiterates is where it's at now.

Hiring practices killing us?? What do you mean? Bidens White House and D.E.I. training funded by demonrats has showed us that getting a position on merit is RaCiSt and you should always hire based on how many boxes they check. The dispatcher was obviously a woman. I'm willing to bet she was also probably an illegal immigrant, BIPOC lesbian who is a little too friendly to kids.

It seemed to me that the 911 operator did not take the call seriously. He told her where he was and what vehicle he was in and she just sat there. The police did not have their lights or sirens on so they didn’t take the call that seriously either. Very sad story.

I remember this and it made me so upset for him and his family. That 911 call is heartbreaking! It was such an ordinary day and then this freak event happens. But he was able to call 911 even without direct access to his phone. And his dad having to find him many hours later. .Just so much incompetence on display here.
