Teen siblings killed in fiery Brampton, Ont. car crash

The siblings have been identified to CTV News Toronto by their uncle Alman Blackman as 19-year-old Tirzah, 17-year-old Judah, and 16-year-old Pharaoh Blackman.

In the early seventies, when I was a kid, I played in the backyard when I heard skidding and a big crash. My neighbour's son took his muscle car for a very fast spin in a very small street and into a light pole which fell on his car right over him. He died on the scene. His father was hysterical, I will never forget the father and mother. That is what has stayed with me my whole life. The look of despair on his parent's faces isn't something you forget.

Typically when somebody crashes a car at 2 am, its because they either were under the influence, or they were speeding recklessly. Stupid game with a stupid prize. Roads are empty at 2am… no reason to speed anywhere, unless you were actively seeking to break the speed limit… They were either racing , or lack of common sense

Drive through that area, and along the 410 in that area and the number of vehicles travelling at high speed weaving through traffic is utterly ridiculous. It's obviously more prevalent there than other areas of the city.

Absolutely heartbreaking. As a parent, I can't imagine going on, the grief must be overwhelming. The kids made a critical mistake and have now paid with their lives. Very sad.

Given the incidents of the last few years perhaps its time to change the driving age to the same as the drinking age....make them both 21. These kids may think they know how to use a cell phone but they have no idea how to handle a car. Was weed or booze involved?

The city of Brampton has the highest auto insurance rate in Canada...is what I am told. Why is this the case? I suspect drugs and /or alcohol in this crash. I had my close ones as a teen to...I got lucky.
