I say they should sentence him as an adult and give him life. I would really say that but I heard on another case that a fifteen year old killed his entire family(there were five in the family total) and the judge sentenced him to life in prison with no parol.

No, parents needed to do better at parenting. My parents had 11 children and we never locked up a gun. We were taught about firearms at an early age and respect for life as well. It's about proper parenting. The gun isn't to blame here. The child that was raised with the mentality to murder 5 family members is what caused this. So sad. These situations where a family is killed, siblings and parents, often have deeper darker backstories around shame and abuse. Hopefully the surviving sibling can offer insights towards understanding this tragedy. Violence stemming from shame has had a constant link in our society since before I was a child long ago, regardless of whether it was the parent's shame or the child's shame.

@@teenyverse7707 I know enough to realize that some kid that loves mountains bikes and fishing while living in an idyllic location on a lake, with no criminal history, doesn't just up and kill his whole family one morning because he got a bad exam score or was rejected by a love interest. I also know much darker things about human nature, not just from my own childhood but from others too. It's not projection, it's life experiences. No warning signs indicates something major happened that morning to trigger that 15 yo boy at 5am to forget to care about everyone that loved him the most.
