Teen Titans GO - The Worst Thing that Happened to Cartoon Network

So here's a new video about the animated series Teen Titans Go, right after a similar video from Saberspark that I really wanted to add one very important detail to, which I believe makes the Titans one of the worst moments for us. And today, I'm going to tell you a lot about the Teen Titans. While being NOT BAD cartoon, it spawned a whole bunch of terrible works.

My problem with ttg is not that it ruined my childhood, or the show is not serious enough that the show likes to gaslight me into believing, but the fact that teen titans go was just not my cup of tea especially since the Justice Friends did the superhero comedy thing better years prior.

The thing about TTG is that not only was it a mediocre show on its own but it ruined many reputations for other upcoming shows at the time. One example I could think of was “Unikitty!”, where many people thought it would be a terrible show because CN announced that the creators behind TTG were behind this new show too (when in fact only one producer and story-boarder worked on it). It proved to be *way better* than what many prefer as its older brother show but TTG was also responsible for taking the spotlight on the channel away for upcoming shows, due to CN’s “TTG only” schedule :(.

And then there was that one crossover with ThunderCats Roar, which dragged TCR down even further into the hated territory than it already was.

Honestly i think CN is not the only company who have this kind of problem. Nickelodeon and it's sponge bob success, Disney and they Gravity Falls success (only good example ig). It seems like capitalism ruining animation industry :c

Why would they bother going through the effort of making something good when they can fart out a billion episodes of Go in a short time span? I mean for fuck sakes, the original series only had sixty five episodes but Go got over THREE HUNDRED EPISODES over the course of less than FIVE *YEARS*?

Season 5 of teen Titans Go was the worst for me especially the new improved bumblebee I love her design I just wish she had a better role in that show 😞

The show wouldn't be getting so much hate if it didn't parasitically attach itself to a beloved franchise, but instead made itself into its own thing. A fun goofy super hero team show, thats good. But why did it need to be Teen Titans? I'm also curious about the numbers going on behind the scenes, cause this show is literally taking up the entirety of their network schedule. Is it literally 'popularity via brute force'? Are they just going to the executives saying "95% of all viewers are watching Teen Titans Go, which means it needs another bajilion episodes and its still popular" despite the fact its like that due to the fact there's literally nothing else on the channel to watch? Is it like with Steven Universe where they were able to hide abysmally low viewership by releasing the episodes in 'Steven Bombs' because they knew it artificially increased viewership? I am very certain that several years from now some papers are going to be released and this show will cause a new anti embezzlement law to go into effect and it will be forgotten in any entertainment/animation history book, but instead make its way into obscure Finance textbooks as one of the biggest Networking money laundering scams.

I will be perfectly honest, I despised this show when it came out. It shits on the OG TT and reduces the once stoic and deep cast to parodies and cheap jokes. This is why the show is hated btw, it basically mocks the childhood of many fans of the OG series. It was also sold on a lie, as people were told that "Teen Titans is returning", without being told that it would "return" as an unrecognizable comedy, in which all of their beloved characters are reduced to dufuses. ___ Now, with that being said... I can legitimately admit that this show has grown on me and I was entirely too harsh in my criticisms. I do not like that it reduces the OG cast to low-brow comedic relief -- that will not ever change. However, this show is good at what it does (were it another show, I'd have no issues with it) and there are times when it is legitimately funny and entertaining to watch. Velma is a shit-show because it was designed by a woke moron, to specifically piss off fans of Scooby Doo (whom said woke moron for some reason assumed we're all white men). Although TT has woke moments, it was not designed for this and is rarely woke and preachy.

Heck reboots aren’t even the problem, the problem is what I’m going to call “dumbing it down” and It seems to happen to shows and franchises that don’t really seem like they’re going to come back so they try to recreate the success in the first place but trying to make it more appealing to the tiny attention span of children which we see with Teen Titans, thundercats, power puff girls (though I heard they’re going to be making another PPG series but actually going to base it more off the original than the recent one) total drama island (which wasn’t really dead just a different version made to again appeal to younger audiences) I get what they go for an us not being the targeted audience but I feel like biggest thing is people seeing the show they loved so much original idea being left behind for something similar just with noticeable less well passion behind them

Ducktales, ICarly and The 2012 and 2018 TMNT series are really good reboots I can think of but almost all of these cartoon and live action reboots suck hard and lack any great elements to the original series before it.

mostly i liked the thunder cats 2011 as a kid and it was actually really good and very well animated until they some reason cancelled it and never mentioned about them, and also yeah ttg is a joke to exist when the creators of the show said they never watched original teen titans and they just like "Oh well we haven't watched it but we heared of it so we will just mock them and put lot of commentary and lots of jokes and making robin a jerk and making rest of the titans as some sorta comedy show and no story tell" bruh like litteraly but no offense i think one of the best ttg was actually night begins to shine which it wasn't bad at all like the song playing along with cyborg and changed to those goofy cheap animated models to some sorta a anime *not actually anime* and the art style of it *Just only i hate all episodes of ttg but night begins to shine is overrated and kind of good cuz i was jaming it with the song*

uhhh to be honest, i dont think its probably the worst show ever, but its more to do with the spite the show spreads, aleast for me. heck i was kinda excited for the show when it first started out, but then the spiteful episodes came like a spoiled waffle and spreaded its foodborne illness to the episodes inside and outside the show. their excuse was hey its a dumb kids show, and all the adults and fans that hated it were stupid and needed to go away. basically mocking anyone who liked the original and hated the new show. yesh so that ruined anything that this show had for me, after making fun of the original fans of the older show. also to the childish dunces that wrote this god-awful waste of time, I hope you're proud of yourself for wasting everyone's time and energy. also only kids that don't have amazing parents to actually monitor what their kids watch would watch this trash. kids deserve good entertainment just like anyone else and honestly to the meatheaded writers of this DeGrace of a show, what is stopping me or any other person from stopping the kids from watching this show. and if you are still confident your show is still gotta run even if viewership is low, my question to you is what happens when the money starts running out?

I'm not a fan of TTGo but I think the reason it was so successful with kids and stayed on the air for so long is because this show has a certain "edge" that the more "soft" and "safe" post-SU (and especially post-PPG 2016) shows lack.

Once In a invaders zim movie they made many years after they canceled the show they changed the desin of the show and a bit of the humor which to me made it feel like I was witching something different i think some shows just shouldn't be brought back if there going to change it to fit the current humer that has plaged teen titans power puff and all the others..... it just takes out what made those show so special and unique and turns whats left into some random thing with a bad story line(if the show had one in the beginning the og power puff didnt but it was still good.)

I wouldn't mind Teen Titans Go if it was a stupid silly kids cartoon like Uncle Grandpa order Patrick Star show but what it does is it insults fans who grew up with the original one buy mocking fans who like the original show and saying they don't like this show because it's not serious enough the thing is though is they did this in the original show to they had goofy episodes that were actually really good they had action in it this show the action sequences usually last like less than a minute the Titans just beat the superhero villains so easily so we don't even get to see our heroes in action and I hate how they treat each other.
