Teen With Bionic Arms Applies Flawless Makeup | SHAKE MY BEAUTY

Meet the real-life bionic teen - with a talent for make-up! At only 15 months old, Tilly Lockey, from County Durham, UK, contracted Group B meningococcal septicaemia, with doctors giving her zero chance of survival. Amazingly Tilly pulled through, but had to have both her hands amputated at the wrist. For years she used basic silicon arms that had only an open or close grip. But in 2018 she became the first child in the UK to have bionic arms when she received a pair of high-tech, 3D printed arms that give her a much fuller range of movement. In this film we see Tilly, now a model, public speaker and make-up vlogger, showcasing her range of colourful arm cases, before flawlessly applying a full face of make-up - and trying out a new edgy look.

This was amazing, I hadn’t realized how sensitive the movements could get, but the tiny centimeter flicks of her finger when showing off the makeup was quite impressive. I’ve mainly seen bionics in legs which requires less dexterity than fingers

That’s AWESOMEE!!! I remember as a child I had a friend who was born without her right arm, and without her left leg. At the time, she had a prosthetic leg, but nothing for her arm. A lot of people made fun of her and she sometimes struggled to do things. But though all of it, she still smiled a lot, laughed a lot, and had as much fun as any other kid. I admire people like this. Whatever Nuga it’s basically works like a real hand. If you want to grab something, think about it and the bionic arm would sense it and perform the movement. I think it’s connected to the nerves so the bionic hand knows when to grab stuff.
