A profound and prolific LYRICIST and unmatched and unique VOCALIST!!!! The thing for me about Teena's soulful R&B voice is that it was organic, authentic, genuine, other-worldly and God-inspired. Her inner-soul was influenced by and with SOUL. She didn't just sing soul/R&B music and use it to live off of it as a benefit like some do. I know and feel the difference when others use it. But Teena (Lady T) she respected and honored the people (as a group) that it derived from. She lived soul/R&B AS we do. Her music is proof of that from the beginning to the end.
