I think the dad heard his son say I love you..he said it twice! Belittling him wasn't going to make him wanna show any affection right there either! If he's feeling guilty for not stepping up instead of his son doing it, then they're not gonna see or respect him as father !

I like she is helping those with older kids out of control and nearly or already on the system. There are so many and catching them before they reach 18 is crucial, and Jo has it in her to help these parents learn how to start properly parenting, and the younger kids are benefited as well when you address the role model- the misguided older siblings so it’s a win win for the whole family.

I adore my kids. Yes they wake me up early, yes they run around yelling sometimes, yes they want my attention when I'm busy, but I adore them. And I adore them to the point of saying NO, firmly and without fear. I have few rules that I don't break, no matter what. And the rest of the time we spend affectionately playing etc. Just make your kids your friends and hold your ground no matter what, and they will listen.
