Brendan Kavanagh is one of those brilliant pianists who simply knows and understands music to its basic roots. All of these subway concerts are a pleasure to listen to. We need pianos in American subway stations to encourage this sort of impromptu performances, in public, and with no apologies. In fact, we simply need more real music in America. Everything in America in recent decades is too destructive and negative. Thank you, Brendan.

For me as a non piano player it is completely confusing how your both hands can play a different rythm with both a different speed . Its fascinating how the human brain works in that way .....love his videos ..

Not a piano player here, either. A piano teacher once told me how she loves to watch her young students get that part- the two hands, different parts bit. She said it's like a new window to their brains opened. Mmmh... I knew something was missing re. my own brains... * sigh *

I always thought the piano had to be one of the most difficult instruments to play because of that. I play drums and cannot always get both hands and feet going in different directions. I truly believe piano is much harder. Only two hands but using up to ten fingers. Wow!

Another excellent example of Brendan spreading the boogie-woogie word among the younger generation, with so much patience. Hopefully Lauren will explore this genre further once she's finished her GCSE piano homework!

Great playing as always, but the lack of eye contact is almost disturbing, haha

He needs to play, sunglasses off, in a dinner suit, staring directly at the camera, not talking.... wait, or is that someone else...
