90's rap had a lot of "don't fucc with us" kind of tracks from all the beef between groups; Twista and the Speedknot Mobstas, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Three 6 Mafia, et al all had it out for one another over 'the style' of triplet fast flows. They all cool af and good friends today.

To add and elaborate...the female rapper he’s talking about (Silk-E-Fyne) is the one who linked Bizzy and Pac up to make the song (and she got on the track too)...the song was supposed to be on Bizzy’s solo album but the label thought it was a better move to add the rest of Bone and make it a group track and put it on the Bone album. The original sounds a bit different but its dope and you can find it on youtube in decent quality

They’re all dope in thier own way. The reason why Bizzy stood out on the older songs was that voice. You understand as you keep moving forward. He was my fav back then. But the reason why most people like Krayzie overall is because he’s been the most consistant throughout thier career. After Bone’s golden years some of them fell off a bit and made some bad music like Bizzy and Layzie...Krayzie has never really fell off. Even his worst music is decent. But thats a whole other story...I recommend staying on the track your on and enjoying the golden years first (thier first 3 are all classics along with some other great albums)...then if you choose to move forward into the other stuff thats your choice. Or you can mix it up too with some new and old, but id personally recommend doing the older stuff first like you’ve been doing
@jt86tn
@jt86tn 4 жыл бұрын
I agree...stay with the 90s stuff first. Creepin On Ah Come Up, E.1999 ETERNAL, Art of War....then move into the 2000s starting with BTNH Resurrection. That one is kind of a mix between their older stuff and what they transitioned into. Once you get to Thug World Order, it's very different. It's all good music, but yeah definitely stay on track with the 90's albums/songs first.

If you like the triplet flow try Twista Overdose or Unsolved Mystery. Him & Chicago (Do or Die / Crucial Conflict) had a beef with Bone back in the day over who started the flow. Also someone who has evolved the sound is Twisted Insane, check out his song Chop Shop. The fastest song to date imo

Just some more info for future tracks so you understand some of their slang/lingo a little better. They all have nicknames (and different variations of each) and you'll hear them mention and reference them often: Krayzie 💀 aka Leathaface, Mr. Sawed off Leathaface Layzie 💀 aka Tha #1 Assasain, L-Burna (in Notorious Thugs he says "...Ima call my boys and bring all the guns, y'all niggas wanna have a little fun with #1...") Bizzy 💀 aka RIP, RIPsta, Lil RIPsta, etc. (in this track, Thug Luv, Bizzy says at the end "Pac and RIP with Thug Love") Wish 💀 aka Strate Jacket Flesh 💀 aka Tha 5th Dawg, Stack

Doberman Pinchyou my bad I mean 1994-2000 musically but the reason why I said 2000 is because lyrically they were BTNHRESSURECTION is their greatest work lyrically and flow wise wether u don’t feel every track on it or not 2 glocks and don’t worry are my least fav tracks but even those are dope and then u have their greatest song “Change the World” and another top tier Bone song “Battlezone” they changed the game with that album and it was madly slept on i don’t see how it didn’t make better progress than art of war and East 1999 also their solo albums they went hard on also in 2001 especially “The Gift” my fav Bizzy album. Even tho Bizzy Bone changed in “Thug World Order” his style was still hard he’s the greatest member in Bone and BTNHRessurection alone proves it and he still got it today. I mean Kray is one of my favorite artist for sure he kills choruses and everything he’s on I just think Bizzy is slightly better And yes their verses on “Thug Word Order” and “BTNHRESSURECTION” are better than their verses in the 90s
@alfreddaniel1994
@alfreddaniel1994 4 жыл бұрын
@@jonnyamick5463 That's pretty much why I agreed with the "at their prime". Even though "E.1999" and "Art of War" might have been the era that people were listening to Bone whether they were fans or not, because it was on the radio. But that was them establishing themselves. I graduated in 2000. I left school three times in the same day to get BTNHRESURECTION.(I was a senior so I had immunity). They were giving the world what they had learned from their rags to riches tale, which will soon be a Netflix movie. A lot of groups are put together. Bone thugs-n-harmony grew up together. There is a difference.

Thier classic albums were mostly produced by Dj Uneek, and co-produced by Tony C and Kenny McCloud And im a beat guy too...and thier beats are AMAZING!!! I think its a big reason why thier sound was so dope on these albums. Thier sound changed when the beats changed later on in thier careers These beats are so complex yet smooth and very well mixed. I suggest listening to some of the instrumentals for the early songs...if you have a good ear you will definitely enjoy them. They’re not your average continuous loop beats, as I said, alot of them are complex and change up alot if you really listen

Appreciate the effort and the reactions just some background info this song came out in 1997 on the Bone Thugs N Harmony album called The Art of War a classic album so this song would of been recorded in 1996 also Bone is the only group ever to work and have a song with Eazy E, Tupac and Biggie.
