In Canada, the post office has a service at this time of year. Children can write to Santa, for free. The letters are answered by the staff, and a reply is sent by Santa. The return letter would have a special Santa postmark, from the post office in the North Pole. I believe that it is done voluntary by the staff. I don’t know if that tradition is still being done. I grew up in a small town,and my mom worked at the post office, so she would bring the letters home to work on them. As I got older, I would help her. It was a great way to share time with my mom, and talk about the kids growing up in our town. It always got me in the spirit of the season. I can tell you that Canada Post still does Santa letters. As an employee it is one of the best parts of my job. We have special pens and stickers to put on the letters and we keep the tradition up, even through COVID and everything else. It's free to send the letters to Santa and they don't need a stamp to be returned, Santa takes care of that :)

Teenagers get a bad rep, I suppose teenagers have always had a bad rep. I think there are more good than bad, but this young lady is on another level.! She is wonderful! When we lived in Belgium, my kids would mail their letters to Santa. They would automatically go to Lapland, Finland Arctic Circle (home of Santa) and he would reply! My kids were overjoyed each year to receive his letter! So what she is doing is VERY special.
