I DONT want to get get married before the baby comes and I've told everyone that. I can give birth then get married 2 weeks later, but I'm not doing it while pregnant.

I believe they are doing it because not only are they back together but they are pregnant. So it makes things 'seem' to their families that they are finally going to go on ahead to the next step and 'get it done.' After all they've ben thru together with each other and other people, the tv show, Chey doing him wrong but him forgiving her it looks like they would already have been married by now. At least by the time they found out they're pregnant. But to still be iffy on that, even now? Its not a good sign. Time will tell, just how much more time?

Elizabeth James Getting pregnant by a man who you’ve been in an -on again off again relationship with for over 15 yrs isn’t ideal. There’s no way he’s been wanting to have a baby with her for a long time but hasn’t proposed to her all this time. Chey clearly rushed this, also mtv needs to stop promoting baby mama culture. Almost the entire cast of this franchise are baby mama’s with 2 or more baby daddies. This show started out to “help prevent” teen pregnancy and turned into promoting having babies in unstable relationships.

American Maintenance Chey herself said in many previous episodes of TM that she wants to get married. Even before she got pregnant she said she wants to have a family the traditional way because she didn’t do that with Ryder. It’s not about having both parents, it’s about being in a stable relationship. Their relationship was on and off, that’s not the best relationship to have a baby involved. So because some marriages end in divorce means you shouldn’t get married? How many relationships end in a breakup but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be in a relationship. Like I said Chey is a beautiful woman there’s no need for her to settle at all. But we don’t need to go back and forth with our opinions, let’s hope their relationship works out.
