What do you expect the school to do about it? Also in most highschools there's a psychologist that you can talk to, i know i did that, what you wrote is totally wrong, i'm guessing you thought that the school wasn't acknowledging your issues because they wouldn't give you a free pass or something

Well, as a teen, school is a big part of your life. At least it was when I was a teen, and that is who the target audience is. Which is probably why they also mentioned social media, since that also plays a huge part in people's lives nowadays. But yes, depression and anxiety existed before social media.

I haven’t seen or heard of Euphoria but seeing that clip is so brutally real. Depression is often portrayed as extreme sadness, but that’s not just what depression. Depression is numbness, depression is feeling nothing. There’s no hope, no zest, no ambition, no motivation, no presence, no life - it’s honestly just a cycle. A constant low cycle. And it’s hard. It’s so hard.

I honestly think that adults don't take teens seriously enough when they say they think they have depression, and that was part of why the percentage increased because when an adult thinks they have depression, they have the ability to initiate a more serious conversation with a therapist.

I really relate with what he said about impressing parents with grades. I sometimes have feelings/thoughts that if it weren't for my grades my parents wouldn't even notice me. I have siblings who are all out there doing sports, hanging with friends, doing all this stuff, and I'm over here thinking grades are the only thing going for me so what am I without it.

At 10:21, the whole point of BoJack saying that yeah was that at the beggining of the episode he promised her he would not lie anymore, and then the whole episode follows BoJack's inner voice telling him what a shitty guy he is and how he doesn't deserve the love he gets.

The scene in The Breakfast Club is one of my most favourite scenes in a movie. I think it depicts how no matter what our life is when being a teen, you are always struggling. Because you are discovering yourself, because you are at odds with your elders, lost among your peers, under pressure about your future, growing into your body and learning about your sexuality - all of that is making you feel overwhelmed and so lost. It's an amazing scene and an amazing movie that I think all teens should watch.

“You don’t know what stress is like until you’re an adult working” I hate that excuse, school is just as stressful as work, I kept saying that there’s a level to stress and anyone can have it, it’s not just work stress for adults School stress, teen stress everything has stress. Stress can lead to mental health issues, if a teen breakdown worrying about their essay being not perfect and due in two days, then what is that? Any Adults can argue that we are kids we don’t know what stress is like, sure I may not know what their stress is like but I know what I’m going through and it’s stress. Kids are growing up and they don’t know what’s going on they don’t know what to do but have this mindset of “if I don’t do good In school I won’t have a perfect life and I’ll become a failure”, they don’t get the chance to have fun or relax Parents want to blame social media for everything and think making their kids focus on school is the best thing to do when they have an issue. Your mental health matters too and should focus on yourself when needed. Edit: bet there will be that one comment who still wants to argue with me telling me I still don’t know what real stress is
