What gets to me the most of the adults in that scene so believe that the ball was aimed at them, that they're smiling as they go away, not even noticing the kid :( Could be a misunderstanding that's unlikely. But PLOT TWIST: *The kids then get a personal meeting with the players and was given signed balls, and got to take a picture with the whole team.* This is just my wishful thinking and personal headcanon. Eat your heart out :v
