because in YG training there's no stable position. that's why if they want to survive they should perform a group performance and nailed it no matter what position are you good at. that's why most yg artist are all rounder because they experience all position even rapper to vocal andvocal to rap. Reason why jennie become suddenly a rapper their monthly evaluation is english and there's no one good at English specifically rapping and if they didn't make it as group perf they all might eliminate that's why they or you want to risk and go out your comfortable zone to be able to survive.
