@sparklemotion101ni3 Жыл бұрын
She's a beautiful dancer, and she 100% deserves her professional success, but I'm not sure she's "literally one of the most gifted dancers of all time." Go see the the current revival of "Bob Fosse's Dancin' " (it opened this week on Broadway) and you'll see dozens of dancers in one show alone who are all at least as gifted as Maddie... and nobody is trying to give them "best of all time" status... because here in nyc we see new groups of hugely talented dancers every single day
@paulocosta795 Жыл бұрын
@@sparklemotion101ni3yeah but people aren’t really interested in seeing them. Now if Maddie were to star in that show, it would be a sold out event.
@sparklemotion101ni3 Жыл бұрын
@@paulocosta795 Which "people aren’t really interested in seeing them"? Maybe *you* only want to see children who danced on TV in a reality show. People who understand dance and regularly see live performances are absolutely interested in seeing world-class, professional dancers performing live on stage. As for Maddie, there's no way she'd be cast in an equity production to dance on Broadway. Those dancers do 8 - or more - shows per week (2 shows a day on Wed & Sat, and just one day off). They don't perform one song for a camera and then return to the studio a few months later to film a second song's choreo. Even when she was on tour with Sia (a long time ago in 2016), at most Maddie's whole performance was a few 4 minute songs, and she only performed (at most) 3 days in a row, with long gaps for travel. Maybe when she was younger, Maddie could have kept up with the people who dance on Broadway, but it's been way too long since she was used to dancing every day, much less giving more than one performance in a day. I guess that's why she's been trying to act. Not sure if winning that Golden Raspberry award for worst acting performance of the year will mean she's going to try something else instead...
