I get this a lot on higher belts as a 4th stripe white belt when they least expect it, I usually dont even need to get my hands involved most of the time to get a tap, as I have a very strong adductor squeeze (I'm 6'5 275lbs and an elite powerlifter) I tend to use this as my "secret" bullshit move against brown/black belts since they outclass me in every other way and I'm unlikely to catch them in an actual legit submission lol

My opponent tried this on me during a agf match ... they stopped the fight to review it. they restarted the fight. He submitted me with this move and after the match they reviewed the film to see if what was a spinal crank . they where going to disqualify him... but i told them he crushed my ribs. he hurt my back and front ribs and im still out 4weeks later!! it sucks.

Question about this move. The first is if I don't tap how likley am I to break ribs? I had quiet a few people use this on me and the first time I felt it I tapped but the second time when I learned to hold my breath and take slight breaths I was able to push through the pain for a solid minute until the person was tired. Also, how the hell do you escape this other than waiting it out?
@woodlandxwarrior Жыл бұрын
@@NoBody-ro3xj That doesn't answer any of the questions I asked. I have been through far more than combative sport type injuries so I am not worried about breaking anything. I want to know what the implications of the injuries themselves and how to escape it.

@PrestigeRich10 ай бұрын
@@woodlandxwarriorthe way you escape this is by opening up your hip lowering your head, doing a 40 degree turn with your shoulders and by doing so you will also be passing the guard. That’s the defense!
@percyfaith113 жыл бұрын
Strictly for grappling match? Seems you are too open to head butts in a real fight.
@PeterMettlerMartialArts2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I think it could be used in a real Fight. The teepee makes it incredibly difficult to utilize headbutts and I can quite easily turn my forehead towards my opponent, making it impossible to hit my face with a headbutt.
@Twongola2 жыл бұрын
Yeah trust me bro, headbutts aren’t going to be an equalizer when you’re dealing with a constriction like this lol
@HeyItzScotch2 жыл бұрын
I've had this done on me, your body is in so much compression pain that you can not muster the power or flexibility to really headbutt someone to do damage against him.

Not sure how much irony there is, when you say try it on the kids class 😅 It's a bit weird that you like it so much if it's supposed to work on beginners only, they are already the ones getting hurt the most (unintentional). 6 years into bjj I never thought about an escape to that thing, cool that it's that simple. It's really not allowed for whitebelts in ibjjf tournaments for a reason though😐
