India should have leverage over it's rivers, Awami league may not be in gov. everytime unlike China,US who never had any agreement over water sharing with its neighbor, that give them upper hand. India is already very generous towards its neighbors. Demands are never ending Indus Treaty is live example.

sir my question in case of tiesta and Indus river India is at upper catchment area.. but India is giving 39% of tiesta share to Bangladesh.. whereas 80% of Indus river share is to Pakistan.. question arises why India is giving 80% to Pakistan .. no other countries would do that.. there is need to revise the Indus water treaty..

Sir why we always wants to sacrifice. China don't do that. He made a number of dams over bramhapurta and we didn't say anything. All the nations having upper share uses most of the water but its some different case with us. We give 80% of indus water to pak and here also sharing water with bangladesh compromising with our ppl. Plz justify it. China took a prt of kashmir and pakistan too took a part we say POK, but when we have earned some part of pakistan in war approx 1000sq km, we returned it. We also made a seperate bangladesh instead of covering it and still u r saying bangladesh have anti indian party too. Its just because our moral values which lead england to rule us 100ds of year. Our 180000 soldiers surrenderd infront of just 300 soldiers in west bengal and ppl there welcomed robert clive with clapping. He himself told in british parliment that if a single person there would have opposed him, he would not be alive now. Why we keep this much of moral values. Whole world is selfish now and no one cares for our sacrifices. We should learn from our past and if we can't then learn from china who don't even care about international court decisions.

why we always have to sacrifice? indian govt has to ensure the livelihood of poor people of india first not bangladeshis . political resons are not more essential than the people of north bengal, sir i am a resident of north bengal and i can see the need of water especially in winter seasons in my own eyes .i think we are giving a good share of water to BD. india should be constant in their share.
