And I dig it. if I were in Peter's shoes, watching and letting everything happen over and over again, I'd also see Y/N as very cruel. Rejecting me over and over again. Sometimes restarting the game to give me affection all of a sudden. I'd see them as a "player" . And they are the "player"

I'm starting to understand YB's perspective: YN gives him hope in humanity(let's just say) and he falls for them. He has it in his mind that everything YN does is because they love him and they are dating, but that's most likely not the case given the gameplay. So every choice YN makes is in accordance with his actions which to him seems like they are playing with him, going back and forth. Of course, that leads to him forcing YN to stay by chopping their leg off. In the end, YN, or us as the player, restart the game only to realize that the pattern repeats as he refuses to give up on them. (Also, YB is aware that this is a game and knows YN restarts every time he fucks up.) When we realize the repetition, we simply quit the game and YB is aware, hence him crawling out of the screen and approaching us. Damn I typed a lot...

Normally, yandere characters cling to the desire of having a connection with someone who seems kind and/or easy to manipulate.

The conclusion of what I can take in this video, is that In the original game, we felt like we're being controlled, maybe tortured, and played by him. While in his perspective, we're the one's who actually pulled all of the strings. Since we are the "Player"

I'm way to nice of a person so I already felt way to bad to actually be mean to him, especially with how outrageously angry n ext those responses are if you pick them 😭😂 and how hurt he'd act even if it's just a game I'm that kind of person that could never get past papyrus in the genocide route cuz I'd always end up sparing him lol, I just feel way to bad even if I didn't know the game was meta n stuff, and when I did kill him I ended up restarting cuz I regretted it so much only to try to do genocide route all over again n again, eventually i gave up cuz i just couldn't do it 😭..

Oh wow, I love this!! The art style is simple, but it really works for YBG, and the expressions are fire x3. I also love the coloring and shading a LOT. It really pulls everything together and adds immersion. Most of all, I love the implications and imagery paired with the lyrics, highlighting how Peter feels like a toy being played with and how he remembers all the times Y/N is mean or kind to him based on the whims of the player.

When YB was popular I followed a lot of fan artists and animators and the amount of gender envy i had to most non-binary interpretations of Y/N was absolutely crazy

Because of how the game paths are written, we as the "Player," shown as Y/N (literally, Your Name) have certain choices we can make that will lead to certain results. The choices we make will lead to Peter (also called Y/B or Your Boyfriend,) taking various actions and killing or sparing different people. It seems we're at Peter's mercy no matter what we do because of how persistent he is (bad things happen no matter how much we try to push him away, stay neutral, or try to make him think we really love him so he'll hopefully be nice to us and not kill us) and there's seemingly no escape. He always seems to be one step ahead, ever desperate to keep us whether we love him or not. And yet, we're the ones who GET to click the choices. We get to run any scenario we want with him and restart whenever we fell like it. He's self-aware that he's in a game and that he's programmed to follow the game paths depending on our choices. He knows that Fuboo is his creator and that he has fans, who call him a red flag and an incel. He knows he was created to be this way. He knows something's wrong with him and that his idea of love might be twisted and wrong, but it's the only thing he's got and he just wants to be loved back. His therapist, who Peter WILLINGLY contacted for help, is toying with him and making his condition worse on purpose. The tragic thing about this game, and about Peter, is that we get to start the game over each time so he can be sweet and innocent (if awkward) all over again, and make him beg us for mercy if we want. But each time he takes agency back through murderous, stalkery overkill, we can just wipe the slate clean and use him as our plaything. So if anything, we have more freedom than he does to be a terrible partner/bad person.
