Hi guys Always luv your vids. My friends and I used to go to Teewah and double island point nearly every weekend during the mid to late 70s in our hj45s and camp on the beach at no charge, and I think the barge cost was $8 return. We always and still do take our rubbish home with us as there were no bins on the beach. We would park in the middle of the beach and go fishing for Taylor and dart and have a couple of frothies ( we only drank from cans because you can squish them down and take them home.) with very little traffic if any at all, even on weekends. We started a family in the early '80s so the ute had to go. The late '80s rolled along and we had 3 kids, so we thought we would buy another 4b. We went back to Teewah, Rainbow, Double Island Point, and even Fraiser Island and found it had changed so much. Hooligans. Rubbish everywhere. The kids nearly got run over by speedsters. So we started going to Morton Island and it was like the mid-70s. Not any more!!! We are Grandparents now so we use the 4b to tow the boat and it is getting harder to get away from the Wankers, now they are buying boats and Jetskis. Sorry for the Vent

Yes! Thank you for cleaning up all that rubbish and teaching your kids to do so too! We were raised the same way by our Dad and as kids we thought it unfair to clean up everyone else’s garbage, but to this day, we still hate littering and do our best to leave places cleaner than when we arrive. Absolutely stunning place best time when no ones around (week days) Sad thing is unfortunately over the years it gets hammered over the weekend by piss heads that go up to just party untill ya drop..i have come across needles in the sand and will find squashed cans in firepits that havent been cleared out. Glass from smashed bottles in the sand it can be bloody shit at times..Back in the day we use to dig pits but always carry Portable shitters as the dumping facilities are at freshwater so the place can stay prestine..Would love the council to ban crapping in the dunes and digging holes etc. ANY way rant over!!
