Yes - Incredible playing by every member of the band. . Then when you research the history of this performance and find out shortly after they arrived at the gig they all got high on LSD, thinking they were due to be on stage in about 6 or 7 hours, when suddenly they were told to go on right away. . Every member of the band was TRIPPING BALLS on ACID while playing! Carlos Santana has spoken about it many times, describing how whenever he looked down at his guitar, it looked like a snake, writhing in his hands and it took all his will power to focus and play! It shows that if you have talent, you can play under almost any conditions!

yet another great example of the variety of "sounds" available to us as we were teenagers in our era.... now you know what your parents and grand parents mean when they say "they don't make music like we use to".....this is how it's done kids....no digital aids.... raw power through skill and talent ....watch and learn.....as we would say back in the day.... peace

Did you know? When they did this song they were tore up on LSD. They thought they were gonna go on in 4 hours after they took it and had to go on stage 45 min after they took it. That's why they look so blown

300 k to 500.000 people got to go pissing and eating! The Crew, who created this dream, was absolutely overwhelmed. But THE PEOPLE AROUND, living there HELPED! They gave all of their stocks to feed this kids! And also the farmer on whose premises this happened wanted to use the grand microphone to address to the people for his support! And last but not least: when the first-aid-care of the organizers seemed to break down, the U.S.Army sent more than 40 Doctors for help... -with helicopters!!!

They weren't supposed to go one till much later, so they all decided to drop acid, but then a change in the line up happened and they went on much earlier. So the band is all very, very high. Santana said the neck of his gutair kept moving like a snake so he was trying to make it stop while playing. There's a moment when he looks over at the guy next to him and smiles, because they knew even high af they found their groove.
